The content creator zerg are pretty much begging the devs for an early coverage release in the discord and they are being ignored.

NOT releasing on 10th now.  They are saying it will be Tuesday 7/22 (yes a Tuesday).  Per post on DISCORD.

They said the delay has nothing to do with the plane and refuse to divulge why it’s delayed two more weeks, two days before the original release date. When called out in their Discord saying it’s a Marketplace/Asobo/MS reason, they refuse to respond. So in all likelihood, that is the reason. It’s amazing the lengths some of these dev’s will go to carry MS & Asobo’s water even in the face of the unrelenting backlash they are now getting in their Discord.

Pretty big disappointment. That’s all I can say. I know it’s two weeks, but it always sucks to get hyped up for a date only to have it crushed 48 hours out…. Not even because of some sort of catastrophic bug either. Instead it’s because of some obscure reason that has to stay hidden.

Hell of an assumption to make. I don't think it's some grand conspiracy to please Jorg or whatever. There's backlash because the plane was "almost ready" pretty much a year ago (September) and just kept getting delayed ever since. That discord turned into a bit of cesspit of memes ever since. Not surprised it's rioting and the devs are keeping quiet.

Likely if they aren't saying anything, they may be under an NDA regarding stuff they hear from MS about the Marketplace.

You know… there’s a possibility that there’s a personal matter among the devs, a dead relative, a sick relative etc etc where they felt it necessary to take time off. No one is owed that explanation.

Did you even read the text? Do you really think the lead dev would refer to his dead mother by saying "the timing will allow a few background items to fall neatly into place"? There's no way they'd just ignore all the heat they're getting on Discord if that were the case.

And since they're also insisting there's nothing wrong with the Plane itself, this is almost certainly tied to SU3, which was supposed to drop yesterday. That also explains the short-notice of this delay.

Yes, thank you I read the text. I also know it's common place to use dubious language so as not insinuate what exactly is the problem if the company/team/dev doesn't feel comfortable discussing what it is. They're well within their right to do that, especially when no currency has been exchanged.

I did not say that the lead dev's mother had died, I simply offered a different perspective on the matter instead of people automatically getting into some conspiracy. It can very much be a personal matter, not specific to death, hence me putting, "a dead relative, a sick relative etc etc". I very much stress the "etc etc" portion. That can be a million and 1 different things.

A different perspective is all, relax.

That's a shame - Was looking forward to trying it out this week.
