My UK Internet can definitely cope with hi res AUDIO streaming. As long as we don't get up to 32bit float that is lol.

Even 32-bit 96 kHz uncompressed is only about 3 Mbps - I'd assume your Internet can handle that?

Thanks for the feedback regarding the cockpit condition. The aircraft we modeled is based on the actual Aerostar I owned and operated for several years. Our approach has always been to focus on a

I haven’t tested the Aerostar in heavy turbulence yet, but it’s on my to-do list. If anything feels off or isn’t behaving as it should, you can expect it to be addressed in the next update or shortly

Turbulence and the Aerostar: feels pretty good to me.  I'm not sure if I've ever flown an Aerostar - seems like I must have at some point - but I've spent too much time in many other similar twins.  Y

3.  Physics.  This is the one that matters most to me and there are large improvements in crosswind physics and ground handling.  LARGE improvements, using the same aircraft in each sim to compare.  Aircraft with their own flight modeling like the iFly and the CAS Cub perform a LOT better when interacting with the base physics of 2024 vs 2020 and that's telling.  This one would be awful hard to give up.  I don't think crosswind landings have felt better in any sim I've tried, to include XP or DCS.

This exactly... apart from the visuals and world depiction, it's the physics and ground handling that has kept me mostly on 2024 since day 1 (despite the issues) and now with SU2 and what looks to be an even better SU3, we can start to enjoy the visuals and physics advancements without being bogged down by bugs 🙂. Interesting how even aircraft with external FMs benefit from the core sim improvements.

Talk to the guys at Virgin Media about how their service is at peak times, say 4-9pm! It's not the speed so much as the random lost connection and restarts. I'll get 50-80 then nothing for 5 seconds. I've found UK broadband very poor compared to what I was enjoying in the USA. Maybe a little sarcasm in my post!

Are you using SU2 or SU3 Beta?

SU2 here.  I sure hope SU3 doesn't mess with the flight dynamics at all.

Not sure what you like about it. It will be permanently in my hangar if it stays like it is. But I’m in the Beta so maybe there is some difference due to that for me.

Well... It feels like the kind of airplane it is.  That's the magic of A2A.  I don't know what the secret sauce is, but they have this ability to really give some sense of what an airplane feels like.  The smoothness and the stability and inertia that is so often missing in sim airplanes (exaggerated by the comically over-exagerrated turbulence on "realistic".). So many sim airplanes waffle around like kites in a light breeze, and that's just not realistic.  The Aerostar is a medium twin, it's not a Breezy.  It definitely should have some stability, and it does.

I understand and appreciate your observations.

Okay, I finally found some stormy weather flying through the Alps that sent the plane into a tizzy like you would expect. So I retract my previous comments. But I did really have to go looking for it because everywhere else I’ve flown so far in poor weather it seemed too stable. But at least I now know that the weather will impact the flight model.

Capturing the authentic feel of flight, including turbulence, is a big reason we built our own flight modeling physics engine years ago for the Comanche. And you don’t need to be a pilot to sense when something feels right.

Awesome update! Really appreciate this:

- Body shake physics from engine and buffeting

That was what was missing for me and now it’s great! My only other request is for it to support a dual PMS GTN750/650 stack. Kudos on the progress!

Textures are so much better now, inside and out and the vibrations are great. Sound still needs some work, I still get occasional popping when switching views. This update is a big leap forward though.

dual GTN750/650 stack announced for the next update

Update: actually they announced dual gtn, they did not mention possible combinations

I have read most, but not all, of the pages in this thread. I didn't see anything about the upper part of the door flying open. The Aerostar had a poor safety record, and the clamshell door springing suddenly open was very often the reason. Wikipedia says that the FAA later issued an FA requiring a placard explaining the door latch mechanism operation to be installed and a door lock status light.

That's not something we talk about. 🤐

That is what the Roll of Duck Tape is for under one of the seats.
