Thanks for the feedback regarding the cockpit condition. The aircraft we modeled is based on the actual Aerostar I owned and operated for several years. Our approach has always been to focus on a

I haven’t tested the Aerostar in heavy turbulence yet, but it’s on my to-do list. If anything feels off or isn’t behaving as it should, you can expect it to be addressed in the next update or shortly

Turbulence and the Aerostar: feels pretty good to me.  I'm not sure if I've ever flown an Aerostar - seems like I must have at some point - but I've spent too much time in many other similar twins.  Y

Unless Google is telling me wrong, the last Aerostar 600s were manufactured in 1984, so there would not be a brand new one to buy, unless someone kept one in storage for decades.

Given the fact that the Aerostar is a simulation of a rather old aircraft you might expect some ware. Unless A2A have simulated an Aerostar with a refurbished interior, and as its new owner, you're the first one to fart on the seats. It looks like you're expecting that 🙃

All real world Aerostars are old. Why does that affect simulated Aerostars? I am not understanding why the concept is so difficult to grasp

True, but I have also witnessed a total make over of 30-40 years old aircraft. With avionic/upholstery rebuild, repaint,  re-fitted with brand new engines! Not often but happens to some owners who love their AC and have extra cash to burn!

I doubt if anyone thinks that. It's pristine! I've asked if they would at least make it look as though the seats have been sat on at least once!

Not true - go to page four of comments in this thread. There are comments about the interior being too worn. That’s why I made that statement.

Edit: And I just read the comments above too. 😂 Personally, I think A2A struck a perfect balance between respecting the age, thus wear and tear, but not over doing it.

Your personal preference would be rather immersion breaking for others.  Our sim simulates today.

It is theoretically possible that some rich person would buy one and redo the interior to be clean enough to eat off of, but that seems less likely.  Someone that rich probably doesn't need to mess around with 40 year old aircraft.

An old twin like this more likley has had tons of owners and has been lived in.

A2A also tends to simulate off a real world aircraft.

It's an 'Eye of the beholder' thing then. To these rheumy old eyes the seats look new.

Actually Ron as many years renter/instructor I have noticed that those airplanes that looked beat up and aged were usually ones that caused tons of problems in flight! In contrast, owners who took care their airplanes cosmetically, also kept their airframe in pristine condition mechanically (with 50 hours progressive oil change, lab analysis of oil sample and etc) So that romanticized beat up look of an old airframe is actual sign of negligence!

I like the new versions they made.

Plus, my wife was complaining so I just had the seats reupholstered.

Looks almost brand new.

I haven't bought the Aerostar, but going by the comments here and on their Facebook page, this is a model of how early access should be done. Exactly what you would expect from A2A.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.
