I find them all pure word not allowed !

At least when it comes to gliders...

But they're sims! They're desktop sims! They're meant to be used in a desktop, so each does it's best to reproduce aspects of the "feel of flight", including control feedback forces when applicable, that are really difficult / subjective to reproduce for the huge majority of the hardware solutions used in our desktop flightsims.

I can easily find inconsistencies in XP, MSFS, AEFS, CONDOR3, DCS World, IL-2 GREAT BATTLES... They all have their weak and strong points...

After dealing with that feeling of being deceptioned with all of them, and uninstalling each one in a row several times, I decided to look and concentrate instead in the positive aspects, and there are many, in all of them.

I look for a platform to train procedures, techniques, not directly related with hand flying the aircraft.

When it comes to handling, honestly I have reached the conclusion that, all taken into consideration, I can't really say which is the best...

I can, nonetheless say that truth is my mind is more easily tricked by MSFS, and in particular FS 2024. It's the platform that during the last months, already more than 6, has occupied most of my simming sessions because the net result of positive aspects and sensation of enjoyment is better obtained by me when playing this flightsim.

I haven’t tested the Aerostar in heavy turbulence yet, but it’s on my to-do list. If anything feels off or isn’t behaving as it should, you can expect it to be addressed in the next update or shortly

Turbulence and the Aerostar: feels pretty good to me.  I'm not sure if I've ever flown an Aerostar - seems like I must have at some point - but I've spent too much time in many other similar twins.  Y

Talk to the guys at Virgin Media about how their service is at peak times, say 4-9pm! It's not the speed so much as the random lost connection and restarts. I'll get 50-80 then nothing for 5 seconds. I've found UK broadband very poor compared to what I was enjoying in the USA. Maybe a little sarcasm in my post!

We have lots of competition here in the USA. If the provider is not doing a good job, we change and give our money to another.

Yeah, that immersion switch is the main reason why MSFS is right for me (currently), and investing in quality stuff like the Cows Diamonds and the A2A Comanche are forcing me to develop steps of my sim pilotage (😅) that I’d previously skipped. End result? Deeper immersion that lasts pretty much the whole flight, from walk around to shutdown. Previously the ‘switch’ only came on at certain times.

I think this is a very overlooked consideration.  We're talking about reproducing an illusion of flight.

Discussion of flight models always gives me a giggle.

Here we sit in the comfort of our homes;  in front of a screen, clutching our minature plastic joysticks!😃

For home pc's the best flightsim software are the ones that have an api for head tracking and a butt kicker.

I was using brighthouse there. The link itself was fast but the cheap labor they used to install cable lines in Florida meant whenever there was a medium storm (Florida.....) they had to come out and fix it the lines. I don't think we had much choice other than satellite... Slower data. When it worked, say 99% of the time it was very reliable.

I'm still getting some sound popping when panning around in external view. Hopefully that will be covered in the next update or two. But this is probably my favourite aircraft now.

I'm not getting that here, but I find the altitude hold works for a few minutes and then starts descending by about 100/200 fpm. It's been reported on the A2A site by several people. Are you getting this as well ?

Not at all. I've been on  a long flight with it this morning and it held the whole way. In fact I've literally just changed from ALT to ATT and back to ALT again and it's all working perfectly.

I've seen that reported as well, but I haven't seen it here either, even after some pretty long flights - except once, when I realized that the key I bound to the ATT mode when held was double-bound to something else, and I was changing myself into ATT mode without realizing it.  Next time you see this, can you make sure ALT mode is still annunciated on the autopilot panel on the forward panel?  Make sure it hasn't somehow changed to ATT.

Thanks for that. I'll check it out.
