s it my imagination or does the WXR work now?

Within the confines of the sim limitations (i.e. no tilt function and therefore making it pointless), yes.

  • Fenix.... never change.   Months of silence, then a video that speaks of a release on Tues- or Wednesday and then release one day earlier on a Monday.   That's how it's done. 👏

  • Winwing have updated Simapppro, FCU and MCDU now working.

Fan blades ticking is common.

Yes, I'm aware of that but I've never heard them in the cabin.

did you have the window open? 🙂

A few random notes from my last flight.

On takeoff, engine sounds from the front of the cabin sound great.   When I switch views to the rear of the cabin, you can barely hear the engines.

Cockpit lighting worked fine, until landing.  At that point, it changed, every time I shifted my POV.   Sometimes the entire cockpit was pitch black, other times all the lighting was working, other times only partial lighting was working.

When starting engines, aren't the packs off automatically?   If so, why is the sound of the A/C system unchanged during engine start?

Last flight, I had a "TCAS STBY" warning illuminated for the entire flight.   TCAS was on, I reset it multiple times, no luck.   Even BATC was ok (usually if your TCAS is off, they are hounding you to turn it on).

Question - for the WX, if it's on, do you get any kind of confirmation on the NAV display's that it's operational?  I know the 737 shows something.

Didn't know the Airbus had an option to open the passenger windows, I'll check that on my flight, lol.

Do windows actually open in the cabin?

I've noticed that (MSFS 2020) the pilots are no longer visible in the cockpit while in external view.

Is that bug or on purpose?

BATC will complain if your transponder isn't on, but they shouldn't complain about your TCAS being off, because ATC has no way of knowing whether your TCAS is turned on or not.

I didn't know Fenix made a Boeing plane 🙂

To get the BFU I launched the Windows Fenix app. It says v2.3.0.553 but I don't figure out how to launch the update.

Just download the new installer from your account on the Fenix website

Thanks, on the website they just say: "Your Downloads Fenix Installer Easily install your Fenix products, and keep them updated. Download"

No reference to update version or BFU... not very explicit. OK I downloaded it. Do I have to uninstall the current version and install the new one? Or do I just install.

i just clicked update and waited till it was done. The liveries will also require an update. Use the Livery section in the Fenix Installer app (not the old seperate livery app).
