Bugs have protein! I eat them too... Orientals have been doing it for ages, and they're fine with it...

Yes, probably the best year for MSFS ever. How lucky we are.

Weather radar still does not work. Any settings in efb to enable it or any configs? On the ND there is wx-t-haz but no echoes even flying in Ts.

You are probably on Alternate Display Renderer. The WXR is not compatible with that mode. Change it back in the Fenix App.

90FPS at LHR so smooth. Handflying and the landing is so nice.

Is this the default Gaya Heathrow you are using?

What's your computer spec and do you use 4K?

i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

Just done my first flight in it from BRS-FCO.

using ms2020 with the su16 beta.

proformance is great, no issues what so ever.

Twinned with say intentions, psxt/real traffic and rex atmos.

Great job @Aamir   praise is due..  Grab yourself a well earned Gin and Tonic, and next time your in T3 at EGLL ill comp you a ticket to our posh lounge and you can have as many Gin/Tonics as you like on me.   Again well done.

addon, smooth as silk, just experienced a glitch when setting the altimeter from QNH, when the aircraft was already flying at the transition level, and due to QNH > QNE I was above and the AFS didn't initiate a descent to compensate the, say... 300 ft differential.

It would not do this in real life either - ALT mode is altitude memorised upon engagement of the mode. So changing the BARO won't cause it to correct for this. You need to pull OP or V/S and it will recapture. Or just push for managed again and it should sort itself out. But you do need to do something.

My bad Aamir 😕

I should have known that ... right !

I used Expedite, and it worked that way too 🙂

EDIT: (even Copilot knows that 🙂 )

[[In the A320, when the Auto Flight System (AFS) is in ALT (Altitude Acquire)* mode, it's actively guiding the aircraft to the FCU-selected altitude. Once that altitude is captured, the mode transitions to ALT (Altitude Hold), which maintains the altitude at which it was engaged.

Now, if the barometric reference pressure is changed while in ALT or ALT* mode:

  • 🛑 No climb or descent is initiated automatically.

  • The AFS continues to hold the memorized altitude, which is based on the previous barometric setting.

  • The aircraft’s indicated altitude will shift due to the new pressure setting, but the AFS doesn’t react to this change.

✈️ Why?

Because the AFS uses the pressure altitude at the time ALT mode engages. Changing the baro setting alters the displayed altitude, not the actual pressure altitude the system is maintaining. So unless the pilot manually adjusts the FCU altitude or engages a different vertical mode (like OP CLB/DES or V/S), the aircraft will continue flying at the same pressure altitude.

If you want the aircraft to stabilize at the new reference altitude, you'd need to:

  • Select a new target altitude on the FCU.

  • Pull or push the ALT knob to engage a climb or descent mode.]]

Ok gone back to SU2 MSFS2024 and turned off use alternative display.  WoW very very smooth for me I'm impressed I get better performance in MSFS2024 than I do in MSFS2020 with the same aircraft.  The sounds are amazing and I like the start of the flight where you can walk up the stairs into the cabin just adds another layer of immersion.

This update is about as close to perfection as any update can be.  Unreal work by Fenix!  Congrats to them!!

Safe to say, only with natively built aircraft (and other add-ons) are we starting to realize the potential of MSFS 2024.. whether it comes to performance and LOD setup, or use of sim's new capabilities & features, or various other aspects. And this is just the beginning as developers get more familiar with the platform and as MS/Asobo start to go beyond SU3 with further fixing of bugs and then new features (which I can't wait for).

Fenix has most certainly raised the bar and standard here (yet again) not just in terms of quality and depth of features in a high fidelity sim aircraft, but also in terms of pricing and customer engagement. Kudos to the team 👏

Just this. Really happy with the new update, well done Fenix team.  Other developers take note.....

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL UPDATE !! 👍 - Speaking for MSFS2020, i think we have a new Developerstandard ( for me the best so far ) and hope a lot more is coming from King Fenix 🙃

For example: A330`s and A340`s and shure it have to be more..

Thank god you guys ( Fenix Team ) set on to the MSFS Market !! 🫠

Love that A319 Sharklet model what i am flying at the moment in Air China livery !

cheers 😉

I am enchanted with the CFM 319SL. Very grateful for this comprehensive update!

Is there a way to have VATSIM ATIS be visible and selectable if present- without downselecting in the EFB first? It would be brilliant to have an annunciation if ATC is present with ATIS on the ARR Page of the EFB.
