I've done the same exact thing.  Like I said, I don't have an FPS problem, I have a stuttering problem that I (and many others) didn't have prior to SU3.  Not sure why it only affects some people and not others.

I any case it's well documented and hopefully a hotfix will come out soon,

Have you looked at your Vram usage under developer settings?

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

I have had serious problems with SU3 that didn't exist in SU2. The most recent one was throttle shutdown when I raise the landing gear on a King Air or bonanza. I'm on a Windows 11 platform. Also, warnings about VFR flight plans not being loaded in avionics -- "just advisory".  The plane goes into a stall, and crashes unless I recover by lowering the gear and exiting autopilot. But when you raise the gear at 100 - 200 AGL, it's like the impossible return, there's not enough time. Everything seems to work on a 172. I'd really appreciate and advice or guidance about. I have returned all the controls to "default" configs. I'm using HOTAS i controls. Thanks in advance.

Not under dev settings, just under the task manager. Vram is fine though.  I believe the issue is known and a lot of people are having the same issue.  Vram will only start to affect the frames if you run out.  This issue looks like a main thread issue.

Just a note that the promised Carenado updates have started to roll out for SU3.

The F33 just updated.  I have only checked the lighting up to now, but the beautiful rotating beacon is back.

The C210 and C182Q have no updates yet.

Not sure about the B55 yet as I don't have it, but that also had the beacon problem so I would expect it to be in the same batch.

I must say I am liking the new bloom effects in SU3.  The runways look good during the night time, and the aircraft strobe effects are a lot better as well, a good example being the ones on the recent Carenado aircraft.

very nice.

For anyone who has had stutter problems with SU3, I saw the same when I was using the latest (58X+) Nvidia drivers. Also terrible scenery loading. I had to roll back to earlier drivers and after that everything has been fine in terms of graphics rendering.

Not saying that will fix it for everyone, but it is what I had to do. I first went all the way back to old reliable 566.36, which fixed the stuttering. I have carefully progressed to 572.42 (I think, maybe it is 572.24 LOL) so that I could get the more useful DLSS options.

It boggles the mind that updating to latest Nvidia drivers consistently makes things worse, but there ya go.

Anyone still getting the infinite loading bug with Free Flight even as SU2 was supposed to fix?

Still having to use the lowering LOD/other settings before even beginning a free flight in SU3.

Yeah, for the people having some/intermittent/constant FPS stutters or fps drops, I am with you on that. More than SU2 that was very smooth in Fenix, 777 and of course GA planes. Now, my go-to test site is a stutter fest more than usual. AutoFPS, Dynamic, lowered settings. Traffic on, traffic off. Airliner, GA, doesn't matter. Sometimes its very smooth and then its not. I lock my FPS or I dont lock my FPS. Still, sometimes the problem occurs.

This was hours of testing at KJFK (default), SamScene NYT(I think version 2) in several planes and situations as mentioned above. Somehow I think AutoFPS was introducing too many changes even though I have the FPS variance set to 2 with no line of site. Without it, its even worse. TLOD lowest is 35 and highest to 200. The PMDG 777 was the worst offender. And yeah, I tried a ton of different variants. Still, it was fun. But performance is not better on my end.

And what's happening if you simply change your texture resolution ? How can you get all these stutters with a RTX 4090 ? Just wondering...

These stutters are caused by mainthread spikes and have nothing to do with GPU or texture resolution. Even at low settings with my system and half VRAM utilized, I have terrible stutters with airliners (smooth with GA planes otherwise at high/ultra settings). Fresh installation of everything, empty community.

This bug has been acknowledged by Asobo and hopefully will be fixed: https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/mainthread-loads-up-more-and-more-and-doesnt-recover/729018

I had this too, landing gear was bound to the digital throttle 2 axis (or vice versa). I have not had any other binding issues.

We definitely didn't expect this message to be so confusing to folks. It was intended to clarify confusion users were having when they would select advisory visual patterns for departure or approach and then those would not appear in the avionics.

Those advisory patterns not appearing is intentional. Most avionics have no knowledge of any such thing. IRL if you load up a visual pattern into Foreflight, it doesn't sync to your Garmin.

However, as the message indicates, this is just about the advisory patterns. The rest of the plan will sync just fine.

Good question--I don't have hardly any stutters anywhere since re-using NV DLSS FG set at 60 in the most demanding scenery and aircraft.  I mean just now in the Fenix 320 from EIDW to EBBR not more than one or two brief hitches presumably related to scenery load, but that was it.  In lesser scenarios, for example last eve flying the AS CRJ550 out of KTEX to KBJC, I simply hit the key to unlock the cap and this removes any kind of visual artifact associated w/ FG it's great!  I detest the strobe/flickering that can happen w/ high contrast tarmac and even ground scenery around KTEX when locked at 60FPS-fg.  Unlocked it jumped to 120FPS-fg and that obliterates these visual artifacts.  Prior to a month or so ago was able to NOT use FG but presumably Asobo did something to get rid of the 2nd screen judder I was getting many months ago prior to a new CPU when I reluctantly put up with FG related artifacts.  Most of the time up in the air FG is fine so will do the keypress or button press and re-lock the rate at 60 to keep power/heat down as it really adds nothing to run wide open at altitude where there are no significant artifacts here.

It wouldn't be from my 4090 but my CPU as the VRAM usage is still under 65% most of the time. Not sure but with SU2 I didn't have this.

Unless there are new settings or ways to mitigate the issue.
