for anyone wondering, the mobiflight profile for the winwing fcu for the default inibuilds a330 works for the a340. Here is the link to the profiles at the flightsim.to website https://flightsim.to/file/85133/winwing-fcu-l-r-efis-inibuilds-airbus-superpack-a320-a321-a330-a330-p2f-beluga-xl-for-msfs-2024

The problem is and has been their mcdu displays. Not fcu though

Not surprised. Got burned with their A350. They'll now keep telling everyone that they had real pilots test the thing and this is all correct and as expected. Then, in about 6 months after patch 247 t

  • Got it, flew a short LPPR - LPPT. Great! Smooth as silk! I'm GLAD !!!! 🤩

  • That's a lazy response to be honest. The whole point of FBW is to protect you from getting the aircraft into a situation where that could become an issue even if you DO try. Stall protection, pit

GSX integration is terrible. Had all kinds of problems. Eventually stuck with the tow truck at the wheel well after numerous tries. The catering trucks were loading below the door openings .lol. The baggage loaders never went to the cargo bays but one stayed under the wing. Eventually left. Also how do I put the GSX menu back to the top. I hate the EFB integration as I hate the FS Labs one which does the same. The plane is great otherwise. But it just stuck me at the gate with the stupid pushback truck. Tried re-setting couatl with no luck.

I finally gave up. Just taxied through the airport and jetway. Then when I lined it up it took off to the right and wouldn't straighten up. What a mess.

Top left toggle in the GSX menu in the EFB.

You need to download the GSX profile from the forums

I'm streaming it.

Just a heads up for cockpit builders and users who like to pop-out the instruments: this is not exactly doable as all instruments pop-out in a single window. According to Ini, this is by design to increase performance. Laughable, really.

I just finished my first flight on the A340 (LFPG-TNCM).

The flight was surprisingly smooth. Performance is much better than the A350, almost identical to the iniBuilds A320/A321neo, which are light on fps on my PC.

I also felt the aircraft has better physics and handling than the A350. Sometimes the A350 seems to fly like a balloon. On landing, for example, a slight flare just before touchdown, and the aircraft simply floats down the entire runway if you don't give nose-down input. I simply can't make a hard landing on the A350.

This doesn't happen on the A340. My first landing was a bit hard. I thought it would behave like the A350, but the aircraft definitely feels heavy when handflying, which I believe is quite accurate to the real aircraft.

I used sim rate 4x for much of the flight, and the aircraft performed much better than the A350. The A350, using sim rate 4x sometimes gets crazy mid-route, rolling violently from side to side until the A/P disconnects, especially when encountering turbulence. The A340, on the other hand, handled very well, even during some turbulence.

The textures and modeling are well done. Sound could be better, but are acceptable. I liked the wingflex effect, and also having the option to select between EIS 1 and EIS 2 avionics.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied. I'd say the iniBuilds A340 is better than the iniBuilds A350 based on what I saw. It shows that iniBuilds has learned from its mistakes with the A350, and I hope that what they improved on the A340 can be applied to the A350 in the future, especially the improved performance.

can you open the cockpit windows and if, are the sounds different ? E.G. can your hear what is outside happening ? are the engines louder when the windows are open ?

A question to those who use it - how much simrate does it handle? PMDG777 on my machine flies quite well on 16x simrate (I know it isnt realistic and all that but sadly I have very limited time available for simming).

I also bought it and just finished a short RPLL-VHHH flight. I must say it performed great, no issues during the flight, and it was a delight to hand fly. I can see this becoming one of my favorites aircraft in the sim.

The aircraft has personality, doesn't feel "boring" such as the A350 (although I find the A350 a very nice addon, in terms of operating its newer technology).

Texturing and the model is very nice. Sounds, like edu mentioned above could be better, but it's not a deal-breaker at all.

All in all, I'm super happy with the purchase, good job to Inibuilds. Even tho I HATE the fact that they forced me to buy it through the Marketplace.

In one of the pre-release streams they showed the EFB and it was 4x max. Now, I can get their A350 to 16x without issues using the in sim commands but the fuel burn remains at 4x so it’s not usable for me and a deal breaker for a long haul aircraft.

I never use time compression in a simulator, just like IRL (unfortunately in some situations it could save me a lot of stress 🙂

But I can perfectly undestand users wanting to use it. 4x, nonetheless, loks like a perfectly acceptable figure?

I'm used to leave my sim PC running while a long flight takes place. Well, actually long goes the time I used to make such flights as a user of Aerowinx PS1 and later PSX, because with FS9, FSX, P3D, XP, MSFS 2020 and FS 2024 I never engaged in long flights before I got, first the INI 350 and now this wonderful 340.

I am getting used to it. I am now trying an LPPT-OMDB. Left the sim PC running when I got to the first cruise level. Will check every 1 hr to see how it's going 🙂

I have to add that having watched the pre-release videos I saw in youtube I was a bit disappointed with some aspects of what looked like not so good ground and inflight behaviour, but either it was streammer fault or it has been fixed / fine tuned for release truyth is my first flight was really rewarding and I felt like what I believe is the feel of flying a rather heavy / "inertia hog" 340 🙂

I am really enjoying my first expriences with this A340, the details of teh EFB are really nice, the performance is great although it looked a bit stuttery in the vids I had watched - here in my mid/low-end rig it performs just great!

Kudos to INIBUILDS, and I almost forgave them 100% not continuing to support their A310 for Xp12 which I purchased just before the release of the MSFS version 😕  Maybe one day they can bring their 350 to Xp12 too !

In the old days, I would leave my airplane flying on AP overnight. In 2025, with environmental and power cost concerns, 4x speed seems too slow for the 10h+ flights that the A340-300 typically flies. I regularly use 8x speed over the ocean with the PMDG 777.
