iniBuilds a340 Released

I really start to get into this quad Airbus.  Like it a lot and hope the quirks will be ironed out in the future.
BTW, anyone know if we can already insert TRACK OFFSETs? I just could not find it in the MCDU F-PLN page... hmm..

Not surprised. Got burned with their A350. They'll now keep telling everyone that they had real pilots test the thing and this is all correct and as expected. Then, in about 6 months after patch 247 t

  • Got it, flew a short LPPR - LPPT. Great! Smooth as silk! I'm GLAD !!!! 🤩

I'm regretting getting it early. 3 flights 3 disasters. Autopilot disconnects on it's own (no binding conflict), 1 WASM crash 😞 I13900 RTX5090 64G RAM here.. Sad

It might be nothing, but i seem to remember with either the FBW A320 or Fenix, in the early day's, if there was not a decent dead zone between the throttle positions, you would get constant AP disconnections.

It would be great in complex addons if you could go a page in the FMC/MCDU/tablet and it will give a reason for the most recent autopilot disconnect.   Would help iron out any possible bugs or usability issues.

I got it and fired up a rare 2024 session just to give it a go. It flies and looks pretty good, definitely better than the A350 at launch. It still feels a bit toy like compared to the Fenix though.

One thing though, without wanting to turn this into a 2024 vs 2020 fest, but the ground textures in 2024 are really bad and I did get a lot of stutters. Very happy to get back into the Fenix in 2020.

Finally get a mid range flight about 4:30 hours. I guess forth time is a charm! This time flight was smooth and everything worked as expected

Now I suspect the issue was related to GPS jamming. Something was fishy there. I turn it off for now

Stall protection, pitch/roll angle limitation is a signature feature of Airbus - it should be the first feature modelled in the simulation.

Yet Ive got 1000+ hours in the 737 in real life and it doesn't have it.. Never stalled it or got into a spin...  Stall prevention systems just make up a lack of skill or poor training. I find all the stuff Airbus puts on planes to limit pilot control to a real negative and why I'd never want to fly a bus IRL

By that logic PMDG shouldn't bother modelling a stall warning in their 737 - or Boeing for that matter.

I just tried it in a short flight, I was impressed, it is actually really good, even the handling. It seems to me is a lot better than A350, in terms of performance and flight handling. This time ini did a very good job 👍

After having a ctd the day before (5hrs inflight), i flew EDDF-KEWR without a hitch.

First try, I got an FMS lock up when programming the flight.

Then, during pushback I got the dreaded "gear damaged" message, but that's probably a combination of MSFS and GSX, so not blaming Inibuilds. I stopped there because it was already getting late.

Second try, did RJAA-LFPG overnight. Went great, smooth (SU4), more than 15h of virtual flight, didn't crash, didn't get lost over the north pole (I used the true North button). Very satisfying. CPDLC worked fine with SayIntentions.

After 5 long hauls I can only say this thing is amazing, great job ini.

Oh guys stop it! You're going to make buy it!

I got burned by their A300 (Still buggy to this day) and sweared to never again trust inibuilds. Now you're just showering inibuilds with praise. If this attitude from the community continues I will have to buy it
