Ugh so sad.  Prayers for the families, the UPS community, and the tower controllers who had to witness that.

Engine fire on takeoff.

Another sad day in aviation history....

I wish all related people no matter what relation exists to all these involved people the best and strength to get rid of this traumatic experience

Incredibly Tragic, My Condolances to our aviation fraternity in the US.

Early days for The NTSB I'm Sure, will use their expertise to find the probable cause.

I am in no way speculating on this sad event,

It does strangely, however seem reminiscent of this accident back in 1978 with the MD-11's forebear, the DC-10

I hope so. My heart is shattered to see something so horrific like this. They didn't stand a chance. Watch the last terrified seconds. OH DEAR GOD, R.I.P.!

Horrible to watch.  So many lives lost on the ground plus the flight crew of three.  Obviously a  tremendous amount of fuel for a flight of ~ 4,500 miles.  It will be interesting to hear what the true experts, NTSB & FAA, report as the cause of the catastrophe.

Terrible.  RIP to all and a speedy recovery to those who were injured.  It's a long road back from burn injuries.

That truck driver must feel like the luckiest guy in Louisville!
