November 12, 2025Nov 12 I just hope the 737NG for FS2024 is actually complete this time. Primarily winglet and non winglet models and proper eye brow options that I have now seen similar options working on other models in FS2024 now. I have mostly grown to except the winglet only models in FS2020 but it occasionally really bothers me when I fly a historic liveries that never had them have some sort of make believe winglet paint job is applied. I never really bought PMDG's excuses for not doing it. Seemed like a simple thing! I interpreted as PMDG was just being lazy!

From https://fselite.net/content/pmdg-anticipates-737-update-by-end-of-the-year-speaks-on-working-with-boeing-and-more/ When the conversation turned to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, Randazzo confirmed that PMDG isn’t simply porting its 737 NG from the 2020 platform—it’s a near-total rebuild. “We decided to start fresh,” he said. “Dragging a three-and-a-half-year-old product over just wouldn’t do justice to what 2024 can offer.” Internally considered version 4.0, the new NG features a completely reworked cockpit and passenger cabin, enhanced lighting and animations, and a fully refactored sound suite developed by a 737-rated audio engineer. Randazzo described standing outside the aircraft in-sim and hearing it roar past as just like the real-deal. In terms of release, Randazzo said the 737-800 is on track to arrive before the end of the year, with the rest of the NG line expected to follow soon after. Current 2020 owners will be offered upgrade pricing rather than having to repurchase in full. PMDG has also used the project to loosen up creatively. The new NG will include a few light-hearted Easter eggs and interactive cabin features that reflect the personality of the team. “The last five years have not been fun,” Randazzo admitted. “It’s been a steep uphill learning curve… but the team is now really having some fun.” Len 1980s: Sublogic FS II on C64 ---> 1990s: Flight Unlimited I/II, MSFS 95/98 ---> 2000s/2010s: FS/X, P3D, XP ---> 2020+: MSFS Current system: i9 13900K, RTX 4090, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, 4TB NVMe SSD
November 12, 2025Nov 12 I don't love airliners but I will buy the 737-700 or 800 for MSFS 2024. I just enjoy Boeing and would likely fly it as a BBJ. While I genuinely wait eagerly for the -800 in 2024, I can't wait to see what light-hearted Easter eggs Mathijs Kok will bring to it. Maybe it will be cabin crew announcements like being in one of those restaurants where you pay them to be rude and shout at you. So, as it is being completely rebuilt for 2024, I suppose that telegraphs the message that this will not be a free or cheap upgrade? Does anyone know? November 12, 2025Nov 12 Enjoying the iFly 737Max, but I’m sure I’ll enjoy PMDG 738 when available. Only other two aircraft I’d really like in my MSFS 2024 collection are: A380 (full implementation of systems with all the interior details) Concord (FSLabs quality or better) I’m sure PMDG could do a wonderful job on both but they seem to be fixated on Boeing even though they have the talent and contacts to do a Concord and/or A380. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence. - Carl Sagan

It could also be argued their laser focus on Boeing for 20 years now is part of what got them a Commercial Contract. I don't know that a company producing ABC planes opposed to B planes would get that contract. ABC Airbus, Boeing, Concorde Although I don't think there would be an issue with Concorde to be fair I did miss the part below though, have they provided any insight as to an upgrade fee vs a net new purchase? Thank you RSR has stated that there will be an upgrade fee, but that it will be modest. I predict $15 to $20. it remains to be seen what it actually turns out to be. No idea what a net new purchase would cost for those who do not already own it for 2020. I would assume it will cost more than a new purchase for the 2020 version, but perhaps not.
