December 2, 2025Dec 2 Indeed looks fun. IMHO this was announced from the launch of MSFS 2024, then delayed... Edited December 2, 2025Dec 2 by MaGer1965 'It is better to be silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.'
December 2, 2025Dec 2 I think it was a paid for add on for 2020. Is this one going to be free with SU4?

December 2, 2025Dec 2 Mostly I'm looking forward to the new Avidyne IFD 550/440 GPS from working title. It should be available after the Boom releases for use by anyone really. For 2024 native aircraft it would be semi simple to add it to the default aircraft even. December 2, 2025Dec 2 I skipped through portions of the video, so forgive me if it was answered. Does anyone know if you can turn off the annoying yellow ribbon markers guiding you through the course? Obviously, they may be helpful when just starting out and learning a course, but if they can't be disabled, I will not bother running the Red Bull Air Races even one time.
December 2, 2025Dec 2 My goodness, the rule set explanations are incredibly precise. I had no idea bank angles were also taken into account w/ certain gates. The pilots who do this IRL must be incredible.

This was a comment from MSFS on the YT video, so yes, the ribbon can be turned off: "Glad you enjoyed it! And if you want those race ribbons to turn off, it is the same keybinding you use to turn off visual nav aids - Toggle Visual Assistances Display!"

Hello @PlumCrazy, Others have already posted this above, but for "official confirmation", YES, you can disable the on-screen ribbon in Red Bull Air Race mode. You can do this by binding a key to "Toggle Visual Assistances Display" in your control settings. December 2, 2025Dec 2 Nice! Although this isn't normally my kind of thing, I am strangely intrigued by it and will have to give it a go. I certainly appreciate the work that has gone into it. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
