Chaseplane for MSFS 2024 is now available

Bought this today and it took about an hour to get everything set up, including configuring pop-out displays with Pop Out Manager. I just completed my first flight from Atlanta to Punta Cana and everything worked flawlessly. I waited a very long time for this to be released, but in the end, it was absolutely worth the wait.

So so nice to have this back.  Must have utility IMHO. Gamechanger to set up views so easily without messing with config files and the like.  To break free from the ridiculous 10 view limit and have fly-by and tower runway views.
thank you parallel 42!

Bought it and set it up, and it’s such a vast improvement on the default MSFS2024 camera system.

Is there a way to disable tobii eye tracking and just have head tracking with Chaseplane?

Kind regards

I really don't understand why ppl say it needs a academic degree to set this up. For a tool with this complexity it

- is logically structured

- has a stellar UI

- is guided in (nearly) every aspect.

Therefore I was up and running with my basic view controls in about 20 minutes. No performance impact, no issues whatsoever so far.

For the price of only 6.66 COC an absolute recommendation. 😎

I had this in P3D, but I definitely do not want to spend an hour setting it up…

This is one of the most frustrating things about Asobo and Microsoft: Camera views such as tower views should be base in the game.

Nobody should have to spend $30 to get this. Or AI traffic that works. Or decent ATC.

The biggest problem with Flight Simulator today (aside from the landscape and world photogrammetry that is just plain UGLY) is Asobo/Microsoft deliberately crippling the base game in order to extract fees using inflated prices for third-party add-ons.

I agree with some of what you say, but the fact is that MS doesn’t get any money from anything you buy outside the marketplace. And ChasePlane and system addons like this are unlikely to ever be in the Marketplace.

Add to that, they have very deliberately (so far) made it extremely easy to avoid the marketplace entirely. I have bought a lot of addons over the years (~$2000) and the vast majority are not from the MP. In fact, I’m starting to move voluntarily to the MP cause it’s much better now.

So I don’t think the conspiracy theory works. If MS starts to lock down the third party stuff and force them into the MP, then I would agree with you.  Let’s hope that never happens.

Are they going to fix the VR problem with this program. I loved it with fsx but I don't fly anything but vr now and would love to have it work.

Thank you

I am looking for a way to have a parallel outside view on a second PC, while being in cockpit mode on my main PC. Would that be possible with CP, or does someone know any other software to do that?

Thanks,

Michael

Not with CP,  and not without it. 2nd View on another PC not possible at all atm. Sim restriction.

Does it work with TrackIR? I know it works in MSFS 2020 but what about 2024? I could not find a definite answer.

Thanks!

Can anyone tell me how to transfer a view profile that I have made from one aircraft to another?
For example, I have a set of views that I put together for the Fenix A319 CFM that I would like to assign to the A319 IAE without starting from scratch.

thanks.

Press the green + icon and there is an import option. You should then see an option to import it from another aircraft you have views setup for already.
