  • Hm, I find this statement sliiiiiiiiiightly disingenuous. Did a takeoff cut, not a V1 cut, so you can see the asymmetry. Not sure why you don't need any rudder at all, but at least on my end - you nee

No idea, and I'm sure not even Aamir knows so yet (I hope to be wrong hehehe).

But if you want to begin the speculation game, I'll say somewhere next year. That would leave me either the FBW freeware, the default ini ones (A20N and A21N) or go top and get the FSL A321.

When it's done.

Fenix can get away with that but other developers can't.

The original target for the A320 Neo package was at the end of 2025.  That of coarse came and went.  In an update from Fenix not long ago it was indicated that the models are mostly done and the integration was going well.  They were working on improved LNAV and/or VNAV capability they plan to introduce on the CEO and NEO around the same time.  Once they are satisfied with that the NEO will need to enter beta.  In my opinion this sounds like its coming along well and its probably closer rather than far away at this point.  Pure speculation that is worth about 2 cents is making me think late Spring into late Summer is most likely.  I suppose if they run into issues by the end of the year but I doubt it and I hope not.

Tried the FSL A321 Neo and if it was more stable it would hold me over until the Fenix arrives.  At first it was fine but it sort of turned into a train wreck so I ended up deleting it off my system until such time I hear it has improved.  Also an FSL A320 Neo would be nice as well.  I have heard its in the works..or maybe not??

Fenix is definitely where its at for me when it comes to the A320 series.

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I am definitely waiting for the Fenix A320 NEO. As soon as its available I will buy it.

Haven't jumped on board yet with Fenix  as I recently adopted MSFS2024 and thought I would try things out with the default A320 NEO from Inibuilds , which to my surprise I was able to fly around the world (30k miles) with various stops in between without encountering any major problems.

Certainly the Fenix A320 NEO will be several steps ahead of the Ini version, but I have used the Ini V2 NEO to brush up on flying Airbus aircraft.

I am also interested to learn what LNAV/VNAV improvements there will be.

The FSLabs is a piece of broken software, through and through. No other high end addon consumes so much RAM and VRAM, and it got even worse with their latest update which introduced the PW variant. Suggesting to change settings in the BIOS to make it somehow work is pretty unbearable as well. This developer is really something else... 🙄

I'm definitely looking forward to the release of the Fenix Neos. Although it has its issues as well (like VNAV), it's such a well developed, good looking, stable and well performing product. Well worth the wait, I guess. 😃

Once FSLabs fix enormous VRAM footprint occurred on a recent update, I'd jump into it for NEO experience. Huge improvements on visuals and systems. It's not better than FENIX as of yet, but they are definitely closing the gap.

OR...maybe they will never fix VRAM issue, so I'd wait for FENIX anyway 🙂

Fenix stated in November that a VNAV and ECAM infrastructure update for the CEO would be released before the NEOs. It’s been relatively quiet since then and I wouldn’t be surprised if they just suddenly announce the NEO release out of the blue, but I also wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see the NEOs until Q3/Q4... We’ll see.

With Fenix you never know - it's usually silence these days, and then they just drop it from one day to the other without much fanfare and let the product speak for itself. I much prefer this over the ridiculous and overblown hype campaigns of some other developers.

The only thing I miss is the regular development updates we got from them in the past. They dialed that down after people couldn't handle it and started sending them threats and whatnot. Such a shame when the few ruin it for the rest of us but I understand the position of Fenix on this.

I'm really looking forward to the NEOs from them, but until then I'll enjoy my CEOs. One thing I'd love to see is support for 8x sim rate on the NEOs...those A321LR routes are going to be a pain otherwise...

As do I. Look at how Aerosoft fumbled it once more with the A340-600. All the press releases, the YouTube previews and then since mid december, crickets.

The Fenix way I prefer: Keep it under wraps until you are ready.

Yeah, and stupid me I bought it assuming it would work reasonably well.  Well…Fool me once shame on you.  Fool me twice, I’m a dork!

How can you buy an add on that is not yet released?

Harrd to say. The FBW does what it does better than the INI, but the INI has more features. We have been waiting years now for FBW to finally implement the non precision approach modes.
