OK, we're getting into unhappy territory here with accusations of theft being tossed about, so I'm locking this one down. If data is made available on a publicly-accessible website with no access

Actually, there is: PSXT (free) + RealTraffic (~$9/mo)

First and most important - Flightradar24 and FSLTL never had an agreement. FSLTL has been steeling Flightradar24 data for many years without permission which is breaking the terms and conditions.

It is also on your TCAS.

Lots of users are not interested in artificial ATC voices.

PSXT traffic is controlled by real live ATC. In some countries you can listen to that live.

And yes, as a user you have to take the real traffic into account, not the other way round.  That's the fun, to fly in the real world.

PSXT was and is the best to see Live AC Traffic.

But I have no interest in using PSXT.

Why don't you want to use PSXT? It's free, super easy to use and it's what actually injects the traffic into your sim.

Does PSXT work without buying anything?  It says you need a RealTraffic license in the manual.  I don't care if it is just scheduled flights and not real time.

Says I need to purchase a license for it to work 🤔

As mentioned before I've recently gone back to using FSLTL's injection w/ BATC for ATC, for reasons stated and have been happier with that, so bummer for me as well on this.

Why? This does not affect the FSLTL models or liveries, just the FSLTL proprietary injector with life traffic. BATC uses its own (licensed) schedules from FR24, so nothing will change for BATC.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Why what?

As mentioned I've gone back to using FSLTL's injector, disabling the traffic slider in BATC, but still using BATC for ATC.  Obviously you lose actions such as 'line up and wait' when it's time since BATC is not responding to FSLTL's injection, and other syncing with AI traffic when you do this, but it has some genuine benefits for me which largely outweigh the lost plusses of using BATC's injection/management, and they are...

  1. AI traffic animation is essentially ultra smooth using FSLTL's injection/management, whereas BATC's is fair to sometimes downright jerky, especially in demanding settings, and the only effective solution is just don't look too close.  I'm set at 3's on the traffic slider with it, parked at 5.
  2. Despite having well more traffic as I'm setup in FSLTL's injector total impact on CPU and frame rate verges on 40% better than when using BATC's injection.
  3. Premium voice use.  When I use BATC's injection, despite having only Controllers selected for Premium voices, BATC is setup so that I also hear ATC between its AI traffic and a controller, which means characters are being used for that chatter.  Whereas with FSLTL that doesn't happen, as expected, as the only characters used are when BATC delivers instructions to my plane only, so a huge difference in character use.  For that background chatter I use LiveATC.net and actually prefer it over chatter in BATC which is decent, but expensive if Premium.
  4. And this was very surprising for me:  ground traffic behavior in FSLTL is actually superior to BATC's.  BATC will send other planes right into me despite my being on the correct departure taxi route.  Or tell me to hold while another plane comes right at me and runs thru me even.  Or tell us both to hold to a Mexican Standoff with no way out other then to run thru the other plane.  Often but not always, FSLTL senses my plane and stops on its own allow me to pass thru an intersection unscathed.  This is one of those things that is so poorly done in BATC it just perplexes me with no good explanation.  Even old default MSFS2020 did far better.  And spacing is strange as well.

So for me it's worth the sacrifice of where BATC does work well w/ regard to AI traffic, and of course I can still have BATC be my ATC controller.

Can MSFS 2024 AI traffic use FSLTL models?

I'm using it and seeing the liveries.

i7-13700KF @ 5.3GHz    32.0GB DDR5 @ 5600    RTX 3080    65" LG OLED @ 4k

To be honest...
I wouldn't see any difference between 'live' traffic and 'static/bgl' traffic.
I don't have a clue what the real world schedules are, so I don't mind which type of traffic I see at airports.
But that is just my opinion 😉

It is surprising to see how little support AIG gets in this thread at a time FSTL lost its FR24 partnership, it would sound like the logical real free alternative offering choices that no other free AI traffic software can match.

It is true that AIG was - at first when released - lengthy and cumbersome to download and install, but the team has made great improvements in the past two years. Whilst it is still not 100% perfect, we should remember that, like FBW, it is manned by volunteers dedicating their time to make this the best AI traffic solution there is.

Among the benefits:

  • Over 300 simobjects
  • Close to 3000 flightplans (if you install all of them - but you don't have to)
  • Ground service equipment at every airport (35% max so as to avoid loading too much your sim)
  • GA traffic
  • Integration of GAIST traffic
  • Flights are on time with real world schedules, regardless of the hour you start flying, in other word, if you start a morning flight (real world) in the evening (your free time), you will see real traffic in the morning
  • Flightplans are updated regularly and are super easy to automatically update, but you don't need to if you don't want...

As mentioned above, you don't have to download and install everything if you don't want to, but frankly, once the initial job is done, the results are so convincing that you will never look back.

I am thinking now to either install AIG or buy FS Traffic from Justflight. I read about FS Traffic that it displays only a very low amount of airborne traffic enroute.

How does AIG perform in that matter? Does it show a descent amount of traffic when you are in cruise?

Kind regards
