But for convincing Asobo that it IS a problem, those confusing having the issue with seeing it and constantly raiding threads about the issue with claiming that they dont HAVE it, it simply doesnt help. They will think: well, it obviously doesnt affect everybody. And this is WRONG. It DOES. What happens if people converge those two statements can be read in this thread: SeedyL comes here and claims that it is an issue with 3rd party AI aircraft because they fixed it for their own AI aircraft. Which is again WRONG, as proven also here in this thread. Asobo needs to understand that it IS still an issue, it is NOT fixed, neither for their own AI aircraft nor for 3rd party AI aircraft. And for this, it is certainly NOT helpful to converge the statements «I do not see it» and «I do not have it» into the same meaning. It is simply not the same... This isn’t just about AI, but you would know that if you had read the thread properly. 1.) Aggressive Object Pop-in: Photogrammetry, trees, and buildings often load in late or change shape suddenly as you approach. They are not AI Aircraft (obviously). 2.) Screen-Space Calculation: Instead of simple distance, MSFS 2024 calculates LOD based on the ratio between an object's bounding sphere and the screen size. This ensures consistent rendering loads, but can result in faster "popping" of detail on smaller objects. In fact, Blacksquare and others have released taxi way sign addons, and one of THE main selling points was optimisation of the LOD, so that taxi signs don't just pop in to place as you approach them! I quote them 'LOD optimisation makes signs readable much farther away with no popping'. Edited May 9May 9 by Ianrivaldosmith

May 9May 9 I'm not sure if anyone is stating that the early culling of landing gear doesn't happen? If so I don't agree with that view. It is clear that it does happen ... for some. But there are those here who are saying that it does not happen for them. Perhaps it's their settings? I've no reason to doubt their report on this. I can't see what they'd gain by suggesting that something that appears on their screen.... isn't there. I thought that what was under discussion here was whether people are (i) bothered by it, and/or (ii) consider it a problem in terms of enjoying the sim. I understand that it happens but it doesn't bother me. I'm only ever glancing at AI as my own cockpit, my checklists and my attention to aviate, navigate, commmunicate keep me busy enough not to get upset by some AI aircraft that are floating like a Sandspeeder in Star Wars. 😊 Edited May 9May 9 by JYW Bill 😎FS2024 • Currently in 'GA mode' : A2A Comanche 2024 & Aerostar • Black Square C208, Bonanzas, Barons, TBM850, Dukes • COWS DA40 & DA42 • FSW Legacy, C24R Sierra & C414 • Echo Falco F8L • FFX HJET, Visionjet and P180 2024 • Got Friends A32 Vixxen • FSReborn Sirius TL3000, Sting S4 and Piper M500 • Flyboy Rans S6S • Skyward DA50RG • SWS Zenith CH701, RV-8, RV-10, RV-14, PC12 • Milviz C310R • Air Foil Labs Bristell B23 TrackIR • BeyondATC • PMS GTN Payware • RealTurb • Axis & Ohs • FS Realistic Pro9800X3D • RTX 3080 • 64GB DDR5-6000NPPL licence holder in the UK

Perhaps it's their settings?. But exactly this happened in this thread, go some pages back and you will find those statements. Some simply mixing up «it is not there» with «I dont see it/bother about it» while others deliberately claim that it doesnt happen on their rig but not proving their point. It is NOT related to any setting. And the guy who posted the video clearly posted it as a «proof» the issue doesnt exist on his sim and it takes you watching the first ten second to notice the very bug. To be blunt, I don't care whether you have "a problem or it doesn't bother you" as that is irrelevant and doesn't change the facts there is a culling issue reported by myself and MANY others. You don't like weather depiction in MSFS, fine, do you see my trying to telling you otherwise? In fact, I agree that weather depiction is hit and miss. It's as if the only things that matter to you are of significance. 16 hours ago, DD_Arthur said: As far as I'm concerned my weather trumps your invisible wheels So it's some sort of contest now? So your motive here seems to be one of YOUR priority on what you want "changed". A discussion I have ZERO interest in and will not derail you because it's important to you. If you have problems with weather, then do what I and others have done, post screenshots/videos demonstrating the problem and STOP trying derail other legitimate issues because they don't "bother you". You posted a video to show there was "no problem" but the fell flat because it showed there was a problem with culling. 12 hours ago, St Mawgan said: I love it when people start crusades 'on behalf of all of us', when most of us don't see the problem 12 hours ago, St Mawgan said: I think most of us would vote or have already voted for issues other than this. May 9May 9 Ive flown almost every day with multiple legs since the 2020, 2024 releases and have never noticed missing AI gear. Must be I enjoy the sim too much. dd
May 9May 9 I can't believe how some folks complain about under carriage issues when the SU5 is the best so far for flight simming. I'm currently flying my TDFI MD11 from KMIA to KONT. I have great sharp views @ 32000 ft. No studders. I don't have AI plane gear issues. But if I did that's not what I focus on when I simming. The TDFI MD11 is flying like a bird and I'm enjoying the flight and not caring about under carriage of AI planes. Give it a break and go flight simming. It's so hard to get too excited with msfs because I know that the sim, or a part of the sim, can be broken by the next update. My sim was silky smooth during the entire SU4 run. SU5 has introduced the occasional pause or stutter and it's one of the most annoying things I've had to deal with since SU5 was released. Even a clean install didn't bring back SU4 performance for me. I'll keep trying! MSFS
