May 20May 20 Does anyone know if the throttles in the real Phenom 300E have physical detents for the Max Crz, Clb/Cont, TOGA and Max power settings? I'd have thought it would but am not sure. There aren't any in the FSR plane.I would be curious as well. The lack of detents make it awfully easy to improperly set throttles.Scott
May 20May 20 I would be curious as well. The lack of detents make it awfully easy to improperly set throttles.Weird, I can quite easily set TO / CLB on the throttles, works exactly the same as any FADEC equipped business jet I have flown in any sim.CRZ seems to be a range rather than an exact detent. Not sure if CSC works or is simulated as nothing is annunciated when you press it. Either way I get it to sit happily at approx m.78.Got to say though it feels very overpowered on climb, in CLB it has Lear 24 like performance.... But then again I've never flown in one. But then again I've never flown in one. That was my first impression too.On initial climb out, to maintain 200kts climb (IAS mode), the aircraft was pitching to over 6000 FPM 😐This was with full fuel and all seats apart from seat 7 occupied. I know these things are fast but it does feel a little OTT. I know these things are fast but it does feel a little OTT.how long will it hold the 6,000 fpm rate? Here's a flying article that says they had it at roughly half that on initial climbout (doesnt mean it wouldnt have done more)...they also mentioned its capable of reaching FL450 in 22 minutes. We Fly: Embraer Phenom 300E6000 sounds too high, but if its only for a short time and it makes FL450 close to the 22 minutes or so then it might just be a difficult balance to achieve both things. May 20May 20 how long will it hold the 6,000 fpm rate?Easily to 10,000 ft, then down to about 4000 by 20,000. Far in excess of any other aircraft in my fleet... Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
May 20May 20 Easily to 10,000 ft, then down to about 4000 by 20,000. Far in excess of any other aircraft in my fleet...Heh, yea too much...I also read it can make FL350 in 13-15 which is approx 2700+ fpm average over 13 minutes at it's best. Sounds like you are getting double it's IRL climb performance. Edited May 20May 20 by hangar Dave Kalin Excel Classes Computer Lessons

If you're light you'll see 5000-7000 fpm into the teens with ease! I work ATC and I've seen these planes climb out at this rate! I've even seen these guys do 2000-3000 fpm into the high 20s and low 30s. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
May 20May 20 If you are getting the 6000 fpm with a 10-15 degree deck angle..no problem! Its usually more of a comfort factor for passengers as you don't 'feel' climb rates, but you do notice the angle of climb/descent. It's a shame they did not include CWS.....it is modelled well on the FSW Lear 35 and quite useful. May 20May 20 Weird, I can quite easily set TO / CLB on the throttles, works exactly the same as any FADEC equipped business jet I have flown in any sim.Not sure what you mean by "weird", but what I'm getting at is that on screen the divisions between MAX, TOGO, CONCLB are pretty small and easy to overshoot when you're busy. Of course cruise is a range, it's at the designated positions where I thought there might be detents.I'm a RW pilot, who has exactly zero hours in jets, so I had no idea what the RW plane has. Seems like detents would be helpful in the RW and would certainly be helpful in the sim, but I had no idea if that's a "thing" or not.A quick check of the google machine indicates that detents do exist in the RW plane at MAX, TOGO, CONCLB, MAX CRZ and IDLE.Scott
May 20May 20 Most switches will move down when you click an up arrow, and vice versaUnless I’m very much mistaken the vertical speed thumb wheel is working in reverse. Convention is you spin it up ie away from you to go down , and down, towards you to go up, that’s also how it’s marked on the Phenom’s MCP. However the reverse is happening, could someone who is on Discord possibly check the behaviour and report to the manufacturer it if they agree with my observation ? 787 captain. May 20May 20 As far as I know, the TO/GA (FD) button should be on the side of the throttles. That's where the clickspot is missing

May 20May 20 Then, if you read the comments on the video, they’re a laugh – graphics take precedence over flight models and systems.Remember that some people commenting in YT can have an agenda...if you say something is better than the Hotstart Challenger that is a red flag to a bull, to pardon the Spanish reference. The ol' rojo bandera.I don't think graphics take precedence over flight models and systems, and anyone saying that simply doesn't know FSReborn. This is Raul as Christopher pointed out. He would model everything that could be modelled. He is a perfectionist, too.You are right to value other real-world user's opinions. Just be wary that as you said, YouTube content creators can have an agenda or not be well-informed about an add-on or developer, BUT so too can the commenters in there have the same agendas and lack of information. I value an opinion like yours (here at AVSIM) way more than something I'd find on Reddit or YouTube. I know most of you guys are straight shooters. If it sucks, you'll let me know ha ha.
