Just remove your spirit and PLAY paints in the folders....problem solved

Exactly. As soon as Spirit became defunct I simply uninstalled the AIG package for it.

I would agree on most points, but FSHud has one huge disadvantage for me: they still did not implement pushback (or jetway connection). BATC has pushback of AI planes and it is 100x more immersive on an airport. Those 180° turns right at the gate insta-kill the immersion when using FSHud.

As stated on our website:

"Over 1 million+ historical flights globally, ensuring a worldwide coverage, and gate-accurate airlines for every airport."

Thanks for clarifying, learnt something new today!

As a rule of thumb on average it takes about 2-3 weeks until features are moved from Experimental to Public.

Thanks Farlis. It just seems like it's taking a lot longer.

I don't want to pay $30 for it to be released next week.

I'm also not having as much fun with the latest version. I'm praying that they get this right, because when BATC works, it's a gratifying experience.

This new feature is also making me consider a Navigraph sub, something I never wanted to do.

The one thing that I felt could use improvement was the voice quality. Have they improved?

I wanted to try it, but they do not offer a trail.

Everyone has different tastes and expectations, however, I actually prefer FSHud voices over the BATC local voices (I don't use the premium). You can also adjust the tempo of the speech. I set mine to 120% which results in a more realistic speech tempo based on what I hear on live atc. I can't say how much the voices have improved as I only acquired FSHud about 2 weeks ago. It certainly has room for improvement in some areas, but, on balance, I currently prefer it to BATC. On my last flight with BATC, the ATC stopped talking near the end of my arrival into CYVR. At least it still kept talking to all of the AI traffic lol. It is very frustrating when a flight ends like that.

How do you do that?

I tried FSHud again yesterday, still has American accents for all controllers and pilots outside of the US, along with the mis-pronunciation of airlines.

I love how you can run it (FSHud) from a browser, and that it is easy and super quick to change departure runways should ATC assign you something different to what you had planned, but if I am flying from Australia to Asia, which I do a lot, I do not expect to hear american accents for the bulk of the journey. BATC voices can be a little robotic but the local accents are much better.

Live traffic is the cherry on top for BATC.

Works great. Very smooth. Lots of activity.

Is this an improvement over the prior model? This has been one of my chief complaints with BATC, low quality animation, sometimes to the point of blatantly stuttering.

There is a tab for all your installed packages in the AIG Manager. There you can deinstall them again.

Amen to that! I tried FSHud but quickly abandoned it because of the voices.

No, we are taking about pre purchased FR24 schedules.

I don't know if the stored database of scheduled traffic is from FR24. But from whoever it is, these databases do cost (the developer) big money. That's not a $150 thing. So buying a new set every year is no option for BATC. That's why it is a bit older (not older than 2 or 3 years, I guess). So if you fly the sim out of real time, deactivate the live traffic and use the scheduled traffic database. Then you have the correct traffic for your time, set in the sim.

(btw @turnandbank: you do sound more and more like a FSHUD spokesperson. 😉)

I think it is, because I noticed it right away.

Thanks...interesting neither Sprint nor Play is on the installed list. I wonder if AIG automatically removed them when I loaded the manager?

I watched a video of a guy using it a few days ago and the voices still sounded robotic and not real world, but to each thier own....
