Honestly haven't noticed any performance difference between SU4 and SU5.

Trying clearing your nvidia caches and such.

Some people claim reinstalling the sim helps as well, but I don't want to go that far.

Just loaded MSFS2024 and there is an update 2.75GB I have the MS Store version. I hope all is good once finished downloading.....😁

Finished my flight from NZAA to NZWN in the Fenix with Active Sky, PSXT, Atmos Core - all good and issues at all :)

Great, this completely trashed my performance. Before the update I was pegged at 60 fps, now I can hardly get high 40s. Cleared caches etc., emptied community folders, updated dlss etc. and it's not going well for me :-(

I’m on the steam version of 2024 and I launched 2024 this evening but never saw any kind of download update like 2020 used to force you to press. I’m assuming the sim update installed?? Or am I missing something

2024 doesn't do in-sim updates. If you manually installed any packages, you may need to check the content manager to see if there are any updates.

Not noticing any performance issues here, but I'm locked at 30.

I had over 1500 hours in 2020 before switching over to 2024 and not once did I have that issue.

I love it. It is like I just went to the optometrists! I can see palm trees as they should look, little or no melted buildings either. A huge improvement for me.

This sim is crazy sometimes. I had GREAT performance on SU4 and was excited to see all the gains everyone in SU5 Beta were reporting. When it was released, it absolutely nerfed my sim and performance was terrible. This update however seems to have brought me back to the gains and performance I was seeing with SU4 and then some. It’s a fickle beast. What works for some definitely do not for others, but think of all the variables that go into this software and how it’s meshing with your hardware and other addons in your community folder. I’m sorry for the folks are seeing a decline because trust me — I know how that goes.

Same. Garbage update.

For Beta testers.

My MSFS2024 Beta 1.7.35 has been updated to 1.7.35 :) Had to re-install DLSS DLL, as expected. Didn’t test extensively and didn’t see any performance impact. Just noticed longer loading time at the World Data loading step.

For me, the object culling when changing views which was introduced with SU4 then largely fixed with SU5 is now back again with 5.1 ☹️
