as none of these types of bugs should be getting through to a Public Beta

That makes zero sense.

There is no delay in changing views, but the view is messed up for a split second straight afterwards. You have to wait for the cockpit to render properly or for the LODs to adjust or whatever.

I"m sure there is for you. But not for me. That just doesn't happen. View change is assigned to my alpha yoke. I flick the button sideways and the view changes. I flick it again the view changes back. After those changes there is nothing wrong with the view immediately afterwards. I never use the keyboard to change views because keyboards are not ergonomic.

I use the keyboard to switch between cockpit view and drone camera view. I have not noticed the "messed up view" that Rob experiences, but I remember him (or someone else) uploading a video that clearly showed it.

Of the third party aircraft I own, I've tried the Fenix A320 and the ini A340, both work. About to do short A350 hop, but it loaded in fine.

the iFly 737 Max keeps locking up my sim.

Default aircraft, the A330 and A321Neo work, as in, the game doesn't crash/freeze trying to load them. The A321Neo has unrelated issues from SU4/5.

ChasePlane was updated to work with the new Beta.

Do NOT install if you're still on SU5.1. It broke my cockpit views (camera jumps outside the cockpit, camera controls freeze and can't move. Spot/Drone views still working). Tried reinstalling a few times before reverting back to the last Experimental build and all is working again.

@MarcG The same old tired arguments.

I have a hard time believing they still haven't hired Marc. A missed opportunity 🙃

I believe the issue is most noticeable with analog gauges, if you fly mostly in glass cockpits you may never see the issue.

This is exactly it Funky. And the evidence is all over youtube with videos from various content creators who even make reference to the issue. So it isn't just 'Bobcat's' computer or setup, as some would like to gaslight.

However, we have the usual fanclub here who can't take any criticism of their favourite toy to the degree of denial and only responding with insults.

And as for the same 'old tired arguments', well they might be, but actually they are sadly the same old tired TRUTHS that some people just can't tolerate. But its OK. It tends to come from same old tired anti-clever people who tend to reply with petulant snipes rather than wanting to improve the situation, so their views are worth nothing, apart from maybe having a laugh at them from time to time as they are so absurd. 😄

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I'm guessing they're not even considering fixing the "landing gear not being visible" issue?

Yes, yet another regression caused by not including code from previous improvements.

Only seem to be partial regression, there's POIs that were effected last time that aren't this time.

(He's on my ignore list) when I keep repeating factual points about poor development then maybe you'll understand they could do a lot better, also why would they hire me? That's like a football club hiring the fans who want the manager sacked!

They're the ones who get paid, they're the ones who need to be better in areas they've clearly been struggling with for 6 years now, not me 🙂

I almost always fly analog gauges. With analog gauges on my msfs2024 there is no hesitation or other strange thing right after changing views and has never happened. I have over 500 flights in msfs2024. ChrostopherLow above says that he does not have the problem. Others say they do. The ones that say they don't are almost surely not fan boys. The ones that say they do are not likely to be hard to please haters. It is simply that everybody has different experiences with msfs2024 on desktop computers.

How I change views. The numbers are not keyboard keys. They are buttons on the "Generic USB Joystick" which is a switchbox with 9 buttons and 3 toggle switches. I just tap one of the 9 buttons. Other people have assigned these same things onto the keyboard keypad. I also have 3 of those custom views assigned to my alpha yoke hat switch.

My camera settings which might be relevant are these:

I can understand Rob's frustration with the issue. Like I said above, I have seen a video clip demonstrating it, and I would be very annoyed if I had to see that every time that I changed views. It really puzzles me why some people see it, and others do not.

thanks, updated and now the iFly does not freeze anymore when loading a flight, resulting in a frozen screen. seems ChasePlane was the culprit. works beautifully now
