Cheers Todd, and I'll take one of those, too. Thanks P_7878, when I look back through my old pix I realise how many great planes I've had over the (relatively few) years Cheers Jankees, and that's good to know. If possibly a bit hard on the old plastic! -
SayIntentions ATC and GPT-4o announcement today
TypicalDutch replied to hs118's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
No, that wasn't said on the video. Brian specifically talks about pricing and what the 50% price drop of OpenAI means for SayIntentions. Yes it means that price will drop (significantly) but OpenAI is only part (~50%) of the logic behind SI. So where ever you read the $30 > $15 drop, it's not coming from SayIntentions itself. -

Hi all, I'm the developer of "Oxynator" and I'm very proud of that my work is still in use and helps you to provide better simulation experience 🙂 Of course it was @MaDDogz idea to build a oxygen-supply-gauge. But I've picked up that idea an developed a complete new gauge from scratch, just using some images/assets from MaDDogz 😎 @OzWhitey I've had no idea how oxygen-supply works in real aircrafts or realworld. I created it the way I thought it could work 🙂 But If I have some time in future, mabye I come back to you to get info how it really works in real world an adapt it to make it more realitical. I became aware of the thread, because @Doksas send me a private-message to gain help to get Oxynator work in P3D 5.4. Sadly I have to say, that I'm still stick on P3D 4.5, so I can not reproduce or debug that issue by myself. Because you changed nothing but the patch-level of P3D I do not believe, that an reinstall of everything bring "Oxynator" back to work. Possibly v5.4 has changed the way how lua-scripts are processed. Some Flytampa airport had issues with lua-scripts in v5.4 as well. But I wasn't able to figure out what exacly changed. But like it look, the lua-script is executed, otherwise you won't get that error-message. The lua-script is designed to catch the event of toggle the battery-switch and then toogle Oxynator-power as well. Maybe the way how event are handled are changed or the battery-Lvar itself. As a first try you can modify the lua-script to log more things, so we can figure out if the function to toogle Oxynator-Power will be called. 1) Please insert these two lines in the oxynator.lua directly below the line "function toogle_ready(var,val)" ipc.log("OXYNATOR: toogling readystate") ipc.log(val) the function should than look eaxtly like this: function toogle_ready(var,val) ipc.log("OXYNATOR: toogling readystate") ipc.log(val) if val == 0 then oxygen_rdy=0 ipc.writeLvar("L:oxynator_readylamp",0) ipc.writeLvar("L:oxynator_level",0) ipc.writeLvar("L:oxynator_blood",0) if oxygen_on == 1 then toogle_oxygen() end ipc.log("OXYNATOR: NOT ready") else oxygen_rdy=1 ipc.writeLvar("L:oxynator_readylamp",1) ipc.writeLvar("L:oxynator_level",math.floor(oxy_ckap)) ipc.writeLvar("L:oxynator_blood",math.floor(ipc.readLvar("L:OxyBloodLevel"))) ipc.log("OXYNATOR: ready") end toogle_refill_lamp() end 2) start P3D, load a flight with your A2A plane, switch on the battery, wait some seconds and switch of the battery. 3) post the contents of "FSUIPC6.log" here.

I think MSFS 2024 will have revamped ATC. There is also a possibility that the revamped ATC in MSFS 2024 may have voice input as well, so we can talk to ATC like we do with BeyondATC and SayIntentions.AI. They have some 700 people working on MSFS 2024 after all. Having said that, if MSFS 2024 doesn't have something with voice input like BeyondATC and SayIntentions.AI, I'm okay with that. I am using BeyondATC myself right now. And the price of SayIntentions.AI may come down, with the OpenAI announcement that the API costs would go down. While I don't expect voice input to ATC in MSFS 2024, I would be surprised if they didn't revamp ATC at all in MSFS 2024.

nice ideas, and the good news is that quite a few of them seem to be on their way to MSFS, like the B-29, B-58, the B-70 and the Javelin -

Absolutely love this livery @ryanbatc - thanks! Changed it to the reg. nr. for the first aircraft I flew IRL - an Aussie 152 - and of course with a Nepali prefix, for the occasion (hope I got it right!). First time I've used dynamic registration - didn't know it was that simple. -
not sure you want to do it for real now...

SayIntentions ATC and GPT-4o announcement today
abrams_tank replied to hs118's topic in Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020)
Ahh, source? If somebody has a source on this, that would be awesome. $15 USD is something I wouldn't mind trying for a few months, once SayIntentions.AI gets really good and really mature. I own BeyondATC right now, so I also hope BeyondATC gets really good too. But after a year or two years, if SayIntentions.AI is very mature and advanced, and the quality is really good (ie. it handles IFR as well, and has traffic injection which the ATC also controls, etc), I would definitely consider trying it for a few months at $15 USD per month. If anybody has a link to this statement, that would be really appreciated! -

AI will detect you're not doing anything in the cockpit as everything is automated already so will remove you, as pilot, from the loop. If you're lucky you'll be given responsibility for wheel chocks and pitot covers 👀😎 -

I saw an interesting excerpt from the SayIntentions.AI's FAQ page: I was curious about how SayIntentions.AI came to this decision and I saw this in Discord from one of the SayIntentions.AI devs that explained the decision to make SayIntentions.AI exclusive to MSFS, but with the possibility of supporting XP after it's out of beta: I guess this is a nice perk to MSFS users, that we are getting the latest and greatest add-ons, because of the sheer market size of MSFS. I would hate to be on the other end of the stick, and miss out on all these great ATC add-ons that are coming out (I myself just purchased and I am using BeyondATC now). MSFS now has BeyondATC, SayIntentions.AI, FSHUD, Pilot2ATC, PF3, etc. And then there is VoxATC, which is also coming to MSFS. It's a really good time to be using MSFS now, if you are a fan of different ATC software. I'll say as a user of MSFS, we are definitely getting a lot of choice and competition, when it comes to ATC add-ons!
