  1. Apparantly NVIDIA adjusted somethings on their side. Reinstalled GFE 2.2.2 and it now works.
  2. NVIDIA talks about a fix that should be available in the next few hours.
  3. Did you install the new driver although GFE crashed?
  4. Hi, Just recently I decided to have FSX make a new fsx.cfg file and see which default values I obviously had changed in due course. To my surprise I noticed that it came up with a different ProcSpeed value, slightly lower than initially 1.5 yrs ago when I installed FSX on this computer. Does that make sense? I changed the value in my old fsx.cfg, it performs ok, I am tempted to say slightly better, but that might be wishful thinking. Menno
  5. And how would FTX Global compare to GEX? Menno
  6. Same here, in most cases I go to the AFCAD to adjust some issues. Menno
  7. So next time Flightbeam releases a new product we shall all hold off and wait because we know discount is looming around the corner? Don't think this is right to their KDEN launch customers...... Menno
  8. Just downloaded it and it installed itself over 1.4. Menno
  9. Same here. There is an overall smoothness although the stutters are still there. But no performance increase or better image quality. Menno
  10. AI will stop for you eventually but you will need to push.... What disturbs me most is that ATC always has me wait while I should get the right of way in most cases.... Menno
  11. Thank you for your efforts. Would it be possible to enable this software to run on a networked computer? Menno
  12. Same here, no problems running FSX on W8.1 Menno
  13. Is it DX10 compatible now? Don't see any wording about that so guess not.... Menno
  14. Tried the demo, EGLL to EHAM with NGX, ASN, EFB. Initial flight was with FSX as is, then same run with FA. Well, I guess I tweaked my system very well, At best FA gave me a slightly better fps but at the cost of blurries which I do not like. Along the way it gained on frames quicker than my standard system but still with the blurries. Without FA similar performance and without the blurries. On a separate note, for us guys using W8.1 with the joy stick disconnect problem, testing FA is hard because each time you go out of FSX you run the risk of losing the joy stick connection..... It is a known problem and I know how to deal with it, but in this case it results in running out of demo sessions quicker.... Menno
  15. In real life, KMSP would use different runways for landing and take off. You can adjust this in the AFCAD if you like. Look for Ray Smith's KMSP AFCAD in the AVSIM library, that will probably solve your problem to a great extend. Also, FSX ATC is not that smart to let you line up when one plane has just landed but is not yet off the runway. That would speed up things too. But these line ups do happen in real life as well. 16. Well, sounds logic to me.... SEQU has been closed since a year now. SEQM is the new airport, so no wonder there are trees growing there...! Menno
  17. In my case that would be EHAM. Menno
  18. Would be interested to see your ETOPS flight plan..... Must have made quite a detour? Menno
  19. I have a feeling there are 2 snow curtains; one right in front of the cockpit and one in the background. It appears to me the latter is a bit slower. Menno
  20. That is because SEQU is no longer in use. The new airport is SEQM which is located in the Tababela parish, about 18 kilometres east of Quito, Ecuador, that replaced Old Mariscal Sucre International Airport (SEQU) as per 19 February 2013. The old Quito is closed now. Unfortunately FSX Flightplan makers still use SEQU. If you wish to see AI traffic at SEQM (you will find the AFCAD here on AVSIM) you need to rename the ICAO code. Menno
  21. FSX has really come to life again using ASN and REX4. It's a joy!
