  1. How long has this been in development? I feel like Northwest Airlines was still around when they QW first announced this project
  2. & we've only been waiting on Quality Wings since Ronald Reagan was in the white house...
  3. This is still a bargain imho.
  4. I wouldn't hold my breath... Its been three years in the making and from the looks of it it will take another three years to complete Understatement of the last four years!
  5. Is removing the exterior model / wing views possible in FSX? or is it only possible in P3D? Please forgive me if this question was already asked
  6. You're going to want to intercept the glide slope at the Final Approach Fix (FAF). This altitude varies and is dependent on a number of factors, and there are many excellent resources available on youtube/google that teach how to properly read approach charts.
  7. Bizjets for the most part are difficult to find anywhere on FSX. Its a shame Gulfstream won't allow anyone to design one of their products for FSX.
  8. Thank you for sharing! This is great!
  9. I havent touched imagine sim since they slaughtered KEWR
  10. Wow. The Los Santos economy must be pretty sweet considering a CRJ captain is living in THAT house!
  11. Wow, looks really sharp. I like it
  12. KTEB Please I'd probably pay you lots and lots of moolah for it.
  13. I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait I can't wait. Can I wait? No!
  14. +1 for Active Sky Next. I have never used anything else nor have I needed to since purchasing it a few months ago.
  15. Again, as I stated in my first post, it is definitely cheaper to build a PC on your own. That should be very obvious. Just so I'm perfectly clear, I am not saying that Jetline's hardware or software is superior in anyway shape or form. What I will say is that Jetline Systems is ideal for those who are unfamiliar with the headaches of custom building a PC, especially for a program as complicated as Microsoft Flight Simulator. The guys who are building these machines are experienced, knowledgeable, and simulator enthusiasts just like most of us. If you happen to also have experience and can build a computer with the same parts listed on the Jetline website for a lower price - that's great, you may want to think about building custom PC's for people as a side gig. But not everyone is an expert, not everyone has the experience and knowledge that it takes to build a top notch PC, and Jetline does, which is something people will pay extra for, including myself.
  16. Just wanted to share my recent experience with Jetline Systems. A few months ago I started a generic thread here about purchasing an FSX rig and received a decent amount of feedback explaining how easy and cost effective it is to build one on your own. While I agree this is indeed true, I decided to steer away from buying hardware and building a rig of my own for a variety of reasons, mostly because I haven't had much free time on my hands. But rest assured, I acknowledge the cheapest route to building a rig is building one on your own. However, I was willing to pay extra to have one built properly, and boy was I glad I made that choice. I did my fair share of research on companies that build rigs for Flight Simulation purposes and came across a couple of manufactures that appeared to be of good quality. Flightsystems.ca was a company I had looked into, and truthfully I had a difficult finding any reviews on these guys (Maybe they are relatively new?). I'm sure they are an honest business that builds good rigs, however I just wasn't comfortable purchasing from a company that did not have already have a good reputation in the flight simulation community. And now to Jetline... upon my first initial phone call to inquire about purchasing a rig I spoke with to Greg, the front man of the operation. My overall customer experience with Greg was excellent, I told him exactly the kind of rig I was looking for and he was able to steer me in a way that was truly "no hassle". As far as pricing goes, I was asked not to make public the final agreed upon price (I will list specs below) because it was a negotiated deal. I will tell you the cost of the parts alone were probably a lot less than what I paid for, however a 30 day money back guarantee coupled with an accreditation by the Better Business Bureau was all that I needed to make me feel comfortable paying a bit extra. Waiting for delivery was a little awkward. Payment is required upfront, and waiting about 2 and 1/2 weeks after dropping some dough was a little unsettling, but I do have to say I did email Jetline a few times for status updates, to which they promptly responded back. Upon un-boxing my new purchase, I was surprised to find how bulky the machine actually was. When I first powered the computer on, I found the red lights that illuminated from the inside of the actual machine itself were pretty sweet. From the first push of the power button to the Windows 10 desktop took about 10 seconds which I liked. Loading FSX was even faster, even AFTER I installed my addons (FSDT sceneries, PMDG, Aerosoft Airbus to be exact). The machine came preinstalled with FSX acceleration, and my first flight I conducted was a simple flight in the traffic pattern at KHPN with the standard F-18 and almost fell out of my chair when I saw my frame rates (averaged 90-130 frames). I must admit, on day number two of having my rig I managed mess up a scenery download of Flightbeam KSFO and actually messed up my entire collection of FSDT sceneries thanks to a BGLMANX.dll issue. Boy was I glad to have Jetline support on my side. Ken from Jetline was able to remotely connect to my desktop, and resolve the issue in no time. Overall, the computer has performed quite nicely. It has handled my PMDG 737 & Aerosoft Airbus A320 addons with ease, averaging frame rates of 35-70 frames (in the NGX) at airports like FSDT KLAX coupled with addons like FSDT's GSX, FTX Global and Active Sky next. At high altitudes, I've experienced even higher frame rates, averaging 120-140 frames. I've yet to experience a single crash to desktop, and I've been able to enjoy flights of up to 4+ hours so far without a single issue. With my purchase of a Jetline PC, I have thus far been 100% satisfied and just wanted to give them my praise to the flight sim community. I would recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for a top notch product. Again, just wanted to share this experience for anyone who was interested. 17. This may or may not be confused with the acronym RNAV (area navigation) substituted with "A-NAV" which in theory would make more sense
  18. Well it's about time! Hopefully these guys do a decent job with it.
  19. I appreciate the reviews fellas B)
  20. Was thinking about picking up this bird while it's on sale. I see it hasn't been reviewed in a few years and was wondering if anyone has any comments/criticisms? Note: I am aware Aerosoft is making a CRJ. https://secure.simmarket.com/feelthere-embraer-regional-jets.phtml#reviews Best Regards
  21. A great way to get your foot in the door at an airport is to work at a Fix Based Operator a.k.a. FBO. I'm not too familiar with the Houston area however I am sure there are a plethora of airports that have numerous FBOs. Most companies that hire Line Service Technicians (involves fueling, towing, marshaling of aircraft) only require high school diploma's or a G.E.D. and its an excellent job if you love being around aircraft constantly. If being outside all day is not your forte, perhaps working a customer service job at an FBO still gets you to the airport everyday, although you'll find yourself indoors most of the time. A good place to start would be www.airnav.com - take a look at your local airports and see what FBOs are listed. Most FBO websites have a "careers" section that allow you to download an application/apply online. Hope this helps.
  22. Below are some specs of a potential rig I have my eye on. What do you guys think? Any red flags?
