That's the thing, the default KJFK in MSFS is pretty good so addon developers have no incentive to develop one that they can back port to P3D which is the practice now. There are still a lot of airports in MSFS that need a good third party touch so we can expect dual releases from our favorite developers for some time to come.

We as customers can speculate however if your business has survived for more than a decade through now two economic downturns, I think they have the experience that gives them a better grasp of the market and their target audience than we do.

Almost a year since V5 released and still can't get V5 installers on the widebody. Sure you can point it to V5 and it will work, but you have to delete the light fx files or you get those large splashes and also the fonts are messed up so you can only use the CDU in pop out mode or you'll miss-click everything. I'm fully Aerosoft for the 330 but I'd love to have a 340 to fly. Back to PMDG, though I'm a 787 fan I may look into buying the 777 next week.

Nice find does anyone know if the DC-8 works in Prepar3d V5? I've searched forums and Youtube but can't find definitive answers.

Hey Manny, Simmarket didn't put the proper name to the file but it is the updated 1.4. I did a properties comparison between the 1.3 downloaded in November and the one today. The one today is bigger. Once installed it shows up in Programs and Features as 1.4. Simmarket needs to fix that as its throwing people off.

On airports with bridges I believe the "Scenery complexity" option in P3D needs to be "high" or you get such issues.

Considering the major addons people use on V4 such Active sky , PMDG, Leonardo Maddog, FSlabs Airbus, Aerosoft Airbus, SODE etc require the latest V4.5, I honestly wouldn't target anything less.

Did just that and did a short hop from a rainy EDDM in the Aerosoft 320 pro and no errors! Yes! Going to try tomorrow with the QW 787 and the CS757.

First time seeing it, from the product page a few short YouTube videos it seems to be similar to Orbx Global and Trees.

Hi there and Happy New year, it was discussed in a few threads since Prepar3d V5's release. This has been mostly resolved with the latest 5.1 HF1 update but older sceneries and those still using FSX era texturing techniques may exhibit this. Folks with skills may open up texture files in their editing programs to correct it but I have no skill in that area and just live with it.

I wouldn't be surprised, technology is constantly moving forward and the F-22 is a 30 year old design at this point (considering the YF-22 prototypes).

I can't help with ADE and trees but I can tell you that black autogen is a thing with Taxi2gate caribbean sceneries. Even though you pointed it to your P3D root directory , two files that belong in P3Droot\textures don't get installed there. Look in your C"\ProgramFiles (x86) directory for a Microsoft or Microsoft games folder. Inside there will be an FSX folder, inside of that, textures folder. There will be two files "T2GTKPK.dds" and "T2GTKPKlm.dds" Copy those over to your Prepar3d\textures folder and no more black autogen. Same applies to their TLPC scenery. I'd also recommend Caribsky St. Kitts addon at Simmarket for the full experince. Using it well in P3D 5.1HF1.

Emile are you talking about the Title bar? By default P3D runs in full screen. If you press the key combination Alt+Enter it will go windowed mode like other windows applications. Is that what you mean?

Pretty sure its the trueglass dll in your P3D guages folder. I was getting DXGI and other crashes even with freeware/default aircraft at some airports. Chucked the trueglass dll out of the guages folder and I've been flying QW, PMDG, Majestic and Carenado for hours on end with no crashes.

Still using their TKPK, TLPC and TFFR sceneries in P3D V5.1. Would love to see updates with PBR and current SDK abilities but as T2G tends to operate as a submarine, surfacing to launch and then disappearing again, I don't hold much hope there.

I tried that when it happened to me and it refused to see the backed up files I restored, had to re download the whole thing again. I almost said screw it.

Just finished a flight to EFHK on Vatsim after adding another 16GB into my rig for a total of 32GB. Downloading the full package now.. Once Activesky is updated I'll do the uninstall reinstall process.

I had the same issue, turn on at least one water reflection option (clouds, aircraft etc) and that will fix it.

Well until the new hotfix and AS release I'll be using the freeware P3DWX 1.0.1. It can hold me over just like it did at 5.0 launch back in April.

It's 2020, what was usual means nothing anymore. 😂

Best go for the full install to get all the fixes, I did it.
