I hadn't noticed that, but if the smoke is a FSX-generated animation then it is consistent with PT-6s which have exhaust stacks forward because it is a reverse flow engine, and the default turbine is a PT-6.

Did a search but could not determine whether this has been mentioned or not.The 2D FMS pop up has no night lighting it seems... makes viewing the buttons a little difficult when night flying and it being night time in real lifer as well with subdued lighting in my room...I believe (this is from memory) that the 3D FMS buttons light up with the gauge backlighting active, one of the most beautiful night lit VCs I have in the hangar, by the way...It would be nice to see the same lighting on the 2D pop up, as I tend to use it during preflight...Andrew

I can't see this problem anywhere else & would appreciate some advice - it's been three weeks now & I'm getting nowhere. :( I can ONLY load the J41 from complex addons - PMDG MD11 & 747, Flight1 Mustang - even Wilco products.Whenever I try to load the J41 from the default Cessna or Ultralight, FSX crashes with an error message.When the plane does load I get no FMS or TCAS functionality.I've tried every solution I can find on the forum , but I know the answer is out there somewhere.So far I have transfered fonts, repaired FSX, Sp1 & Accelaration - rebooted FSX with fresh cfg. & xml. files, uninstalled other addons & uninstalled & reinstalled the J41 more times than I can remember.I'm not even sure how I can tell if my product is properly activated.Sorry for rambling, getting a bit fed up now. Any help anyone could offer would be fantastic. :( CheersSteve

Hello,I don't know if it's just me - have not seen this "error" anywhere else - after many flights (about 20) all of a sudden I cannot power-up the FMS. Buttons can be pressed but the FMS does not turn on. I start from the "COMPLEX FLIGHT STARTUP" then load say the tutorial. HAve done this many times.All other procedures are working from power-up but this one just came from nowhere. I had to reload the addon from scratch and it now works fine again.Just thought I would mention this if anyone else has seen this "bug".Cheers,Ron Sagel

I recently had an issue with the main door.I loaded up the default Friday Harbour flight with the J41 and I landed on the runway off to the left. I parked the plane at the ramp and shut her down completely. She was out cold. I then connected external power and flicked the GPU switch to on. I then tried to open the door, but was I was hearing the sound of it opening, it immediatly closed. The Red door icon on the Ramp Manager goes to Green for a few seconds than back to Red. I also get the appropriate door messages at the top of my screen telling it's opening and then it closes after a few seconds.I look outside to see what happens, and same deal. I either click the door on the Ramp Manager or I hit Shift + E.... The door simply opens a tad bit and then closes shut right after that.I would assume this is a bug as the aircraft has the necessary power... but then again, it's a door, you open it manually right?

Try the default Cessna in the exact same location... if you happen to park in a re-fueling area, FSX will notallow the door to be open and immediately closes it.

Ryan, Just got this bird, my first PMDG AC. The only time I get a CTD is when exiting from the tutorial flt or one where I start with the J41. If I start with the cessna, running or CD, go to the airport of choice, select the J41, then exit, no problem. I believe the answer for me( more testing required) is to start with the default cessna (KFCI-clear weather; the airport probably doesn't mattter) then proceed. This also works with the F1 Mustang and CS 757, the 767 has problems exiting that I'm still working out.There is a thread on many forums that suggest, as you, that ALL complex AC stat with a default AC. F1 offers one for the Mustang.Thanks for a really nice bird that I have managed to fry a number of engines on (RTFM) and have been demoted to ramp service baggage handler.Jack S.

Hi all, sorry if it has already been asked.I have noticed that the ETA value in the FMS Plan page 2/6 displays wrong minutes. In the shot below, you can see that it reports 18:60, instead of 19:00.

When it was 'rejected', what was displayed in the higlighted box ? Dashes ?, a '0' , or another number ??Regards.Ernie.
