March 26, 201115 yr Hi guysCarenado are doing a C90 King Air. Great news. I also believe they have recruited a flight dymamics specialist, so this will be an interesting one to watch.http://www.carenado.com/CarSite/Portal/index.php?accion=incomview&correl=1Erich
March 26, 201115 yr That is great news, will be watching that one with interest. G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron

It will be very difficult to get even close to accurate dynamics. Not to mention the sound issues. So say the folks who have done it.Kdub

So say the folks who have done it.KdubWell, Real Air made it pretty clear how they had to get around the FSX turboprop limitations - and they did a fantastic job. Their manual was an interesting read, particularly the fact that FSX by default simulates Torque and ITT opposite to real behavior. I doubt whether Carenado will invest the same degree of technical care to engine behavior and instrumentation..... which is a pity. But I guess the masses will purchase this product regardless of the technical deficiencies. Everyone does and then just complains.... a predictable human pattern :( I am looking forward to it nonetheless.

I'm thrilled with the Royal Duke, even fashioned a throttle quadrant for it. But I was on short final yesterday into KPAE and after turning off the active the wife says, "Is that the turbine Duke? It sounds so real!" Now she doesn't know anything about FSX, but she's been in smaller turboprops and she remembers the sound. I'm spoiled now. The Duke is as you said, fantastic.Kdub

Rob and Sean showed what is attainable but I also doubt whether Carenado will go that far. Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 26, 201115 yr Yeah I was wondering the same thing since I have spent hours trying to figure it out to no avail. Maybe Microsoft Flight can fix turbine dynamics :( Chris Miller
