Great update Robert. I am actually in your neighborhood, doing some gambling in Reno Nevada. Like all the other boys i am looking forward to the release of your 737 NG on FSX.However I am still learning advanced procedures on the MD 11 which is a great education in flight.Had a interesting landing at KSFO 28R yesterday when the pilots tried for a short approach from Oakland direction. (Asiaiana airlines) in brief to high and too fast with airbrakes extending as well as 35 degree flaps.....Go Around was the result ...to my enjoyment. How often does go around occur on a short final ...any idea as a commercial pilot?cheers steveAuckland New Zealand
Steve-G/A is pretty rare. I THINK I recall only three or maybe four in my career.Oh- and thanks for keeping my taxes low... May you take the house for all they are worth!

Reminds me of another photo:0916960.jpgBTW, where are the rudder pedals in your shot? Or did you turn them off to check the texture behind them?Nick Botica

I think I read that the NGX will not come with rudder pedals :(

Nice updates. The project looks pretty good and I don't think my positive comments can add anything of essence. It does however allow me to imagine posts such as this one:The NGX is almost complete now and the project is about to be available to the Beta team. However last night we uncovered a serious issue. The passenger seats in economy recline by 10 degrees instead of the 5 degrees shown in the Boeing blueprints. As you can understand we cannot ship a product like this to beta testing. Currently Dr. Vaos is working on a new mathematical formula which will correct this but we are not certain if it will also apply to business class. In the meantime, I am working on the final calculations of the amount of paint used in each livery in order to get a more accurate and realistic calculation of the empty weight for each aircraft. There is a significant difference which can be up to 300kg depending on the amount of paint. This work should be done by next week and then we plan to do beta-wide testing. As always don't plan in the near future for any business trips, vacations, weddings or funerals. (RSR) Note: I hope everyone gets the intended humour and the indirect compliment of the post and it doesn't become feed for trolls. Ilias Pyette

Nice Shot!!However I find the FMC on the NGX much better than the old one that you can find here!!!
If that is an NG (not doubting it) but the fuel gauge says 2200 and change but the level shows about 60%. so with that logic full mains would be about 4000 in each main which we know snt right.JackColwill

I'll let Rob answer in more detail, but he flew BAe JS4100s as captain for ACA/United. More recently, he was type rated in a Boeing 747-400. Currently he isn't flying for a living (by choice), but does enjoy flying his SNJ/T-6 Texan. Many members of the PMDG team have some flying experience. I have certificates as commercial SEL and MEL, and was a CFI SEL . I instructed quite a few to reach their dream of becoming a private pilot. I know Henning flies every opportunity he has. I'll let the rest of the team answer for themselves, but suffice it to say, we bring a lot of real-world aviation experience and expertise to our products.

Interesting - on that A.net photo the FMC page is APU BITE(?) TEST. What do you mean it's not an NG? What else could it be?

That is a NG. I don't think any other aircraft would look like that.
