FSDT Ground Services Released

Featured Replies

I love this, even the pushback works great!Wholeheartedly recommended especially if like me you enjoy tours as part of a VA, round the world, or anywhere where you frequently use default airports (MyTraffic helps here too with it's improved AFCADs and plenty of AI).No complaints at all, but a couple of feature suggestions: I would like to be able to use a followme vehicle to guide me to a runway, and I would like to be able to load a cargo plane e.g. QW757.Tools like GSX are so worth it because they bring the sim to life - anywhere!

I would try to uninstall GSX and the Stand-Alone Addon Manager then reinstall GSX first then the Addon Manager. See if that works.
Thanks. The demo *.exe file doesn't allow that to happen, unless I am missing something.
it was my anti-virus. (Comodo) Temporarily disabling it helped.
I will give that try. Thanks.

I deleted the post with all the images. This is not the screen shot forums guys. Please place images in the screen shot forum and then mention and link to the post there.

Tom, have you tried downloading and installing the stand alone Addon Mmanager from FSDT ? That often fixes issues with FSDT addons.

No, I haven't. Thanks for the suggestion. I will give that a try.

Correct me if I'm wrong; but I believe this can be accomplished in sim via the add on manager.

Don't know if that will achieve installing the stand alone addon manager, as Umberto is still suggesting to users on his forum to download the AM from the FSDT web site. Not to say I have that correct either. Must have a try all the same and see what happens. Can do no harm.

Yeah but... It has to be there first in order to do anything with it. :(

Go to your add/remove programs in windows and uninstall GSX and say yes to uninstall addon manager and couatl. Then turn off your virus scanner and rerun the installer. Should work then.

Just to clarify, when you run the installer, it will reinstall the Addon Manager, and COUATL modules. Which should be the latest versions. From Tom's previous post, it sounded like he thought these needed to be installed before reinstalling GSX.

Hello, just wanted to let you know we had issues with servers, because the program was downloaded so much, that we were able to overload even our commercial Dropbox account, at 250 GB/day!! Never happened before with a new release, I guess it's the price to pay to grow...In any case, this means there might have been problems with installers (GSX and Addon Manager) getting live update files. However, they all use a backup mirror automatically, and we put up a backup page with alternative download links for all our products, which will do until the release frenzy will slow down, and the regular server will be back up.Some error messages you might have seen were really benign, just too zealant to point out something was wrong but, in fact, it was just a warning of the first url not being reachable, but the installer completed anyway, using the backup mirror, but I agree too many warning messages might be misleading. We already fixed the installers (both GSX and the Stand-Alone Addon Manager) to show a warning only when BOTH mirrors would eventually fail. So, if you had troubles with the installers, it's all ok now and running on the mirror server, I guess the situation should normalize in the next days.

yes, my bad. I should have mentioned to Tom that the stand alone AM should be the last thing you install after installing all FSDT products.

Holy cow! With a 45MB installer, that must be at least 5000 people downloading at once!!! :(

It's a pleasure being able to run those ground services at every airport around. This integrated update check also is a neat option.I must admit, I've instantly bought it as the preview videos looked impressive. So far, there's no downside or regret on that decision and I'll keep AES for the Airports I've bought, while GSX does the rest. From reading the forums over at FSDT, a voice driven option or the integration with Fs2Crew would indeed be the icing on the cake though.
