It works great so far and really adds to the immersion. The only problem i have is that my wife keeps asking me who i'm talking too "what, why are you talking to your computer? its not going to talk back to you" i say "Yes it does" and she just looks at me with a really strange expression on her faceCeri

It's pretty awesome. I had it for the JS4100, so I got it here too.Word of advice: your computer will better understand you if you teach it what you sound like. The documentation will tell you to run the voice tutorial within Windows (it will tell you how, as well). It is very important that you do so.

I'm about to push the button on this one, and have decided I will suffer the slings and arrows of mny missus ripping it out of me for talking to my computer; will it work with a webcam built-in microphone, with the voice (FO's) routed to my sound output (as opposed to a headset)Cross-posted to the FS2Crew page, so sorry for the non-NGX related questions (although I can't really see me using this with the Duke Turbine LOL)bestjake

Guy, if you get FS2Crew, just make sure you have installed SP1C first. It's available in the pinned thread on top on the PMDG NGX forum.A lot of you only have SP1B installed, which results in the FS2Crew not functioning properly (and endless support headaches for me :( )Cheers,
It is a great addon, but if you have a non english windows version voice control doesn't work because windows speach doesn't work. The recommended Vistalisator doesn't work always at windows 7 64b.But well, the button version is nice too...Eric

Eric,Try running Vistalizator in compatibility mode.Cheers,

Like i said in another topic, it's such a shame that you can talk to your co-pilot, but don't actually see one in the f.o seat...........

Meh...why waste the polygons on a poorly modeled person? It's not like it's going to react to you anyway. Even the better console games out there have terrible dynamics of interaction.

FS2crew and the NGX together are the best thing since the invention of bacon. (I love bacon) :(

Eric, unfortunately Vistalisator needs to be installed on a "fresh" Win 7 install. In that case it works perfectly also on 64 bit version. I have the Italian version of Win 7 64 Home Premium, and about one year ago I had to reinstall everything and I took the opportunity to install Vistalizator prior to any other update. Since then the voice recognition has been working flawlessly. I know that reinstalling everything is a huge pain but I definitely recommend it you do it at the nearest opportunity. FS2 Crew Voice edition for NGX is absolutely gorgeous (the button edition is nice but voice edition is entirely a different story) and it is worth the pain.Regards

Actually few days ago I finally managed to have the English Language Pack installed and activated on my Italian Win7 Home Premium 64bit SP1 - whit no reinstall. fs2crew voice edition works as well as - for example - VoxATC works marveollusly!Details here (use google to translate if needed, but it's quite simple): http://blog.y-m-e.ne...sional-mit-sp1/.

This has worked for me as well - so far no problems at all.For me it is priceless to be able to just say "set vref plus one" when hand-flying and have the F/O set it for you.
