March 18, 201214 yr This thread is completely subjective. I've seen peoples rigs that say they get amazing performance with high and stable FPS in FSX yet when I see it run in person it may run great, but inside you quietly think "eww, that's borderline hideous". There are so many variables that it's nearly impossible accurately compare results. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024
March 18, 201214 yr With UK2000 Heathrow and the NGX I get 21FPS with all sliders on 85-100%. I have as follows:Intel Core 2 Quad NVIDIA GeForce 330GT 1TB HDD 8GB RAM Who needs Sandybridge when I get those FPS on Yorkfield? I am actually surprised at how smooth it runs!Aaron G. Running the VC or 2D and what resolution is your monitor(s)?Bert Van BulckWow amazing. With the sliders on 3/4, Rex textures (none HD) and ASE, Nothing more the 15fps on EHAM (aerosoft) .I did use Bojoto's tweaks.Any suggestions ?Euh, his CPU is running 2GHz faster then yours. That's your way to go.Bert Van Bulck

March 18, 201214 yr Before you get too depressed, have you asked how this is achieved? When you find out, please let me know.Regards from a guy with pretty decent specs too.I´ll get into that never ending thingy again. And to all the ones above with great performance: What settings do you have? Best regards, Steffen Fight time: NGX 737-700: 37,0h; -800: 47,2h
March 19, 201214 yr I shut off the FPS and have stopped worrying about it. As long as it run smooth and not like a slide show I'm good.I think to many people get all messed up if their fps is to "low" and start looking for a quick fix.Which can lead to more frustration. If it runs smooth than it's all good.

March 19, 201214 yr i get around 25-30 fps on the ground at EGBB (UK2000 scenery), which is fantastic for an aircraft thats this complex. March 19, 201214 yr does anyone noticed, that aerosoft airport are frame killers?Well, Aerosoft do huge airports in outstanding detail so it is obvious that they will eat FPS. It isn't easy to do a highly detailed airport which is big without loosing FPS. They are actually FPS lite considering the detail and size of some airports but you need powerful hardware to do them justice.Aaron G. PMDG Boeing 737NGX Captain
March 19, 201214 yr This thread is completely subjectiveTotally agree. One persons smooth is another persons stutters..I'm bored with FPS hunting now. I just want consistent smooth not just 60FPS at cruise :)Also, I'm not sure I buy the "I get 50-70FPS at all airports" line..If it isn't in a video, it didn't happen :( And we can all drop our sliders to get max FPS when Fraps'ing :DI get 2000FPS even at Heathrow 2000 (I don't even own it LOL)I do get 25FPS inside the NGX cockpit at the few payware airports I have (FSDreamTeam airports, mostly), and also at YBAS and all other ORBX scenery..This will usually drop to betwen 16-25 outside the AC.When above FL10 I get about 60. I have all sliders set to max except autogen, which I move to dense over heavy scenery (and back again to very dense in crz), and water, which is 2x Low. I use ASE2012 and RC4 (which is a CPU hogger, as is ASE)My specs are below, but I'm just changing to a 3930K and an ASUS Rampage Xtreme IV so presumably I too will be getting 70-150FPS all day long ;)bestjake JAKE EYREIt's a small step from the sublime to the ridiculous...Napoleon Bonaparte

March 19, 201214 yr One important thing you guys are leaving out when talking about your FPS. Whether or not your using the Virtual Cockpit or Not. The difference in FPS between Virtual Cockpit and 2D-Panel is Huge! Paul Deemer

March 19, 201214 yr Hi.My frame rates are 10-21, very rarely 30, average around 17fps. How can I improve it? I use nvidia inspector and settings as posted in one pf the topics here. Thanks.
