If I could only have one addon, it would be Advanced Sky (any version). Without a doubt, it has completely changed FSX for me-- the more accurate weather depiction, graphics, etc.
Active Sky?

Leonardo Maddog - Still the most realistic airliner in the market, working wx radar and full systems suite, including shared cockpit.PMDG MD11PMDG NGXREX2ASEEZDOCKMCE - I only run into this GEM about a month or so ago....I have never had so much fun with a program before...it is a program that works similar to FS2crew but for ALL your aircraft...and it does not use any FSX resources so it wont crash your FSX if anything goes wrong. The best of all, YOU can customise everything your virtual F/O says and does...YOU can create your own procedure flows and processes, including engine failure procedures, etc...it FINALLY gave me full voice control of my PMDG MD-11!! :(

If I had to pick only one (because I'm feeling lazy) addon as the greatest impact for me I would say the Dreamfleet 727.If I could have only one addon, I'd be willing to sim with FS5 graphics as long as I had the DF727 to fly. I still have FS9 installed for the 727 alone. My FS9 is basically FS727.

HelloThe Cornerstones of my FlightsimmingFsuipc/WideFsRadar ContactFScommanderActive SkyThese four define the Sim for me, everything else is icing on the cake

A2A - in recent years, they seem to be able to do no wrong, and their support matches the quality of their output too.Al

Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here

Ezdok EZCA would be #1 followed closely by REX.Another utility I love is Ideal Flight, which is a great way to click a button and get into FSX with a flight ready to go to new destinations you've never seen before.I have bought several plane addons but the ones I always return to are the PMDG MD11 and Carenado products (mostly the Cessna 185.)I know we aren't really including hardware products but I have to give a shout out to TrackIR. Single most immersive product I have ever used in a sim. I just wish they'd innovate and work on a more lightweight/wireless/less intrusive headset system.

1) Rex 2.0 Overdrive breathed spectacular life into my FSX skies - wouldn't be without it.2) ORBX NA, OZ and NZSI sceneries - great stuff.3) My beloved Real Air Turbine Duke - made me understand just how good payware craft could be. My all time favourite, go-to plane.4) PMDG NGX showed me how real a simulation could get.5) Plan-G; brilliant VFR planner and free to boot!I have many others, but If I had to live with only 5, these are the ones that make FSX for me.

Cheers!

FSUIPC - Too many advantages to name.GEX USA - No more desert mountains.Carenado- my first payware aircraft company. Love the Malibu JetPropX.Any ORBX product - especially their freeware.A2A's AccuFeel - it's nice to be able to judge how smooth your landing was by the loudness of the tire screech.

Positive Impact: PSS Airbuses and Boeings...That's when the real deal began on the Pro side..then followed by all the other "pro" developers add-ons. And by "pro" I mean the serious good add-ons, no the half baked stuff. But Yeah PSS (along with Just Flight) made it possible.Negative impact: FSX and Abacus. Yes, these are the products that created the worst nightmare; however, as time went by and hardware became better FSX has become at least "tweakable" to become usable, but not untill following a bunch of tweaks and fixes like helll.

Oh and forgot Ground Services X. It just makes airliner flights feel so more real and actually give me real reason to taxi till gate after landing.

Active Sky?
Yes that's it! Active Sky... don't know why the hell I wrote Advanced... sheesh

OK, so I had seen "Accu-Feel" mentioned a few times lately and wasn't sure what it was, but as soon as I saw that A2A made it I high tailed it to their site. After reading the description I took the plunge.Accu-Feel just got added to my list. Simply awesome.OK, so I had seen "Accu-Feel" mentioned a few times lately and wasn't sure what it was, but as soon as I saw that A2A made it I high tailed it to their site.
