Airline weight? I flew dc-10-30s and she was very responsive in all regimes of flight. Wether at 430k or 590k she was nimble. The only time you noticed that she was heavy was during speed changes. It took a little longer to slow or speed up when she was heavy. I complained about the responsiveness of posky aircraft.

I would have never guessed a plane the size of a dc-10 would be nimble.

Do you have the MD-11? If you do I wonder what you think of it..

I can only hope that folks aren't claiming to be authorities on the flight dynamics of the 737 based on the NGX, POSKY or anything else in Flight Simulator. That is reserved for those who fly it in real life. Anyone else is making assumptions. It's fun to make believe, but that's all it is.

Hi,

I love the PMDG 737, it's a great product.

Unfortunaly, i found the flight model unrealistic.

I use to fly with the POSKY 737, and the command latence is more realistic and more representative of airline weight. When you push the yoke, you have to wait some delay because of the weight of the plane.

The PMDG is more close of the FSX default 737 Flight Dynamics Engine... it's like land with a Cesna :)

Any way to ask developper to ehance the FDE ?

Any way to modify PMDG file or to merge it with POSKY FDE ?

Thanks.

Ced

Enough with the laughter and condescension. The truth is Ced that the NGX is closest to the real 737 than any other desktop sim you can find out there. If you want to prove this to yourself, try using the information provided in the FCOM manuals and simulate different takeoffs and landings at various weights and runway lengths. The manuals are authentic boeing documents so they should give you a more accurate idea of the NGX's realism than the lag you experience with the posky's flight controls.

By the way, you should remember that the sensory input you get in fsx is way less than that which you can get in the real airplane. We can't experience true force feedback from our joysticks and yokes, neither can we experience the inertial forces associated with climb, descent, acceleration and deceleration. These are what make the key difference in fsx flying vs real flying. Perhaps you are used to using sharp control inputs and expecting slower aircraft response while flying in FSX. In real like that kind of flying will leave you and your passengers with a really upset stomach. Try toning down your control sensitivity to a level that you feel comfortable with. IMO, the NGX is the best thing I've ever flown in desktop simulation till date ;)

A while ago, I talked to a retired airline pilot. He flew Caravelle, B707, DC-10, B747 and B737.

He said that the DC-10 behaved like a racecar compared to the rest.

Hmmm.....

The 400 is pretty responsive too... It doesn't "lag" in spite of its weight...

<tears up type rating>

I guess all that experience in the logbook means nothing against the experience of a simmer....

:LMAO:

- Don't be afraid of common sense or the search function.

When you push the yoke, you have to wait some delay because of the weight of the plane.

Then go to Alexander Schleicher and tell him that he has build his ASK21 totally unrealistic!

Greetings from the 737 flightdeck!
