April 11, 201214 yr Is anyone else having yaw stability issues at approach speeds? Not here.. I just did my first approach and landing w/ it in a slight crosswind and was actually surprised how well she handles at slow speeds and hit the mark on my first landing with it. April 11, 201214 yr Not here. Damper on or off? Al, damper on and off. Props full forward, sync off, configured for landing per the checklist. April 11, 201214 yr hmm, that seems odd, I've just been bashing circuits at Liverpool with it and had no problems at all, in fact on the contrary I'm pretty impressed with its coordination, it seems a lot better than many other FS aircraft where putting the ball in the right spot is concerned. Got some dodgy METAR loaded up or some such? Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
April 11, 201214 yr Why is this thread moved out of FSX Discussion? New releases started by consumers have always been allowed in the general area... Anyway since I've been the Debbie Downer in this thread how is the air speed? What does it do (KTAS) at altitude? I thought it to be a bit faster than the Turbine Duke if I read the specs correctly.... | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
April 11, 201214 yr Well done... will it pop up if you click on the VC gauge? You bet! As long as Instrument Reflections are set to OFF. Bert
April 11, 201214 yr Commercial Member If you are talking about the red marker on the torque gauges, I see the needles go past the redline before I hit the maximum travel on my Saitek throttle quadrant. I am indeed talking the red markers. At 101.5 on the Ng... I was still running at the redline. Also, for discussion's sake... I did testing with clear conditions... pure ISA standard at sea level. April 11, 201214 yr Al, that initial flight test was conducted with default FSX "fair" weather...no weather addon at all. April 11, 201214 yr Author Why is this thread moved out of FSX Discussion? New releases started by consumers have always been allowed in the general area... I thought that was strange too, particularly with the 16 page Captain Sim 737-200 thread sitting right on the same first page. Shane Gavin
April 11, 201214 yr Yup, it should be in the FSX forum as far as I'm concerned, it is news about a new FSX release, not a Carenado support topic. Al Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
April 11, 201214 yr Not actually owning the Malibu, I couldn't tell you, but I reckon it chops about 5fps off what most of my other fancy payware aircraft manage, which is okay by me, especially since there is a LITE version which comes with it too. And yes, it does appear to be doing turbine lag, as it should with PT6 engines, although whether it has any of the other stuff they are noted for, such as being prone to icing, remains to be seen. It is of course a different aeroplane from the B200, which was my second favourite ever aircraft for FS9, so it is difficult to say how it compares, it is prettier of course, and it seems tough to fly, which of course the B200 was. Al The nice thing about these king airs is the engines werent prone to icing! I would like to try this one and see how well it way simulated but another 40 bux down the tues if I dont like it.
April 11, 201214 yr Yup, it should be in the FSX forum as far as I'm concerned, it is news about a new FSX release, not a Carenado support topic. Al should we move it back :Waiting: just kidding of course lee
