October 8, 201213 yr Hello, I think a lot of answers and solutions to your doubts and questions can be found in the OpusFSX forum here in in AVSim or in Flight1 SimForums. I hope this helps. salu2 Fdovillamil Joop / GCLP Joop H.
October 8, 201213 yr Hmmm was actually hoping for a yes or no. Could not find an answer that relates to the current version of Opusfsx. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
October 8, 201213 yr Hello WR269 Opus isn't a clone of any other weather program. Opus has its own approach of serving you with an excellent weather engine and many, many more features. It is really impossible to give a good answer in a nutshell here. Pls put your specific questions in there forum if there is nobody hear to be able to answer you. You will be surprised by the rapid answers of the devs! salu2 Fdovillamil Joop / GCLP Joop H.
October 8, 201213 yr Hmmm was actually hoping for a yes or no. Could not find an answer that relates to the current version of Opusfsx. its probably too hard an answer to give a yes or no, thought it would be a simple answer to give to a simple request you asked for I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
October 8, 201213 yr Wow, what a waste of time, didnt think it was a hard question, forget i asked. Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
October 8, 201213 yr I am interested, too, in this matter: is it possible to get, from OPUS, the winds aloft to enter in the FMC DESCENT FORECAST page? Thanks. James Goggi
October 8, 201213 yr The short answer is 'not yet', from what I can tell. Between that and the lack of historical weather, I'm splitting my time between the two weather engines at the moment. There is a whole opus forum. I'm a little surprised this thread has survived 8 pages... Mike Mike Dryden
October 8, 201213 yr A thousand thank yous Mike, all i needed to know. It certainly has some features i use a lot, so i will keep a very close eye on its development. Regards, Will Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
October 8, 201213 yr I am interested, too, in this matter: is it possible to get, from OPUS, the winds aloft to enter in the FMC DESCENT FORECAST page? Theoretically you could use the AS2012 interface to get that information and then shut it down. Or use some online resources (I'm yet to find one). I'm not 100% sure whether the AS data will represent what you will see in Opus. Will require further testing. Here's some eye candy from YSCB-YMML flight: Regards, Martin Martinov / VATSIM 1207931
October 8, 201213 yr Wow, what a waste of time, didnt think it was a hard question, forget i asked. Will. Please don't quote me, but OPUS does not use Global weather like AS2012 does, so it is not necessary to inject a flight plan, In fact, this weather program is so darn good, and clever you don't need to tell it that you need weather injected at KJFK (an example) because the real weather will be in place when you get there. Winds aloft will be fully implemented very soon. Regards Julian Great pics Martin. October 8, 201213 yr That is a very good point Julian, although i mainly use the predicted weather function for descent profiles on my aircraft. I will definitely look into it, though! Will Reynolds Flight Sim Addict
October 8, 201213 yr I was able to get predicted weather using FS Flight keeper, including upper winds and temps. Opus uses NOAA weather server, if that helps.
