November 25, 201213 yr I also own the Beaver X and Twin Otter X but they do not impress me much. Me neither. They're getting a bit old in the tooth. Great back in the day when they were new, but very dated now. The new Twin Otter from Aerosoft will probably be a good one though. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
November 25, 201213 yr In no particular order A2A P-40 A2A Piper Cub Aerosoft Huey Runner up : I got the A2A P-51 Civ over the weekend which will be soon in the top list, I feel it in my bones . I dont know how A2A does it but their aircraft have sharp, Hi Res VC textures, more than decent system simulation (understatement), a feel-good flight modeling and, cherry on the cake, an excellent framerate and no stuttering on my rig. Accusim externalizing some of the simulation ? The RA Legacy is a wonderful plane but I get stutters and I put it in mothballs. Maybe with a stronger machine ? I would love to love the Aerosoft Bronco but it is more akin to FS9 than to FSX, VC included, IMO. November 25, 201213 yr I apologize, I only have a top 2 list. 1. PMDG 737NGX (800 Variant) 2. PMDG 777 Beta OK, I lied. I don't have the 777 Beta. But I will have the RTM version whenever it comes out! R. Scott McDonald B738/L Information is anecdotal only-without guarantee & user assumes all risks of use thereof. November 25, 201213 yr I'm a low and slow kinda guy, so no heavy iron here... 1) RealAir Lancair Legacy 2) RealAir Dukes - can't split the two as they are both superb at what they're designed to do. 3) A2A Cub - only third because its so slow, but that's not its fault lol SkipperMac
November 25, 201213 yr Do you mean the FS Concorde or the Aerosoft Catalina? I'm telling ya, I have a real problem keeping all these companies straight. Its Aerosoft Catalina X.
November 25, 201213 yr LOL...everybody that knows me knows what the top one is. I guess I'm a little less mainstream: 1. Carenado C182Q with Bernt Stolle mod. 2. Milviz Cessna 310 3. ??? I've got several for that #3 slot but can't really pick which one I like to fly more. I'd love to get a good GA airplane (or light commercial) that works well with LINDA but those can be pretty rare. I'll probably grab the Milviz King Air when it comes out. Also, I've noted how many folks like the BN2 Islander...if I had some good Caribbean scenery, I'd have to get that one. November 25, 201213 yr 1. Default Grumman Goose, heavily tweaked. 2. Carenado Cessna C337 Skymaster moderately tweaked. 3. Whatever I'm flying at the moment, currently default DC3, mostly untweaked. 4. Whatever I flew previously. Searey from Discover Arabia. Tweaked. Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
