December 19, 201213 yr I personally think that the cockpit of the Airbus X looks great. The graphics of the first version were excellent. I certainly wouldn't want a nice, sleek gray cockpit with cool, modern side sticks to be sprinkled with fingerprints and worn at the edges. You can not apply the same "cockpit-cleanliness philosophy" to every single commercial aircraft, particularly the newer ones. In my opinion, the older Boeing cockpits look easy-to-use and friendly, and are therefore more suitable with wear-and-tear details, while the newer Airbus cockpits look clean, neutral, and professional (not saying one is better than the other). If a developer creates an A350, B747-8, or B787, I do not think the worn cockpit style would be appropriate, either.
December 19, 201213 yr Ive done this countless time with the NGX, look at first picture it was on AP it should have turned not gone on that big curve and look at the last picture LOC was captured but way to late. Sorry its wrong and it's not hard to see. The NGX just turns onto final at that way-point in the first picture and you know the rest. I could have done a DIRECT to get lined up but I should not have to, should I? @Manny yer it looks great but looks are skin deep atm, hope they can fix it. A 737 is not an A320. Just because the NGX does that route the way you like it doesn't mean an A320 should. I could have done a DIRECT to get lined up but I should not have to, should I? There's a reason real planes still have pilots . John-Alan Pascoe
December 19, 201213 yr Some of the posts on here just make me laugh. The extended was released 2 days ago and people are complaining that it is full of bugs, calling the addon in essence rubbish and comparing it to the NGX. When the NGX was released people had lots of problems and PMDG worked through the issues. Now we have a very mature addon so you would expect things to perform well. So comparing both products at the moment is disingenuous. As for blurry VCs, Coolsky's DC9 copped a lot of flack as well but it appears the issue was related to individuals system settings. The last point I will make is that the extended is aimed at a different simming market than the FSL version and PMDG offerings. So if you want to immerse yourself totally in the aircraft with system failures etc, then the extended is not for you. The product price reflects this. My 2 cents for what it's worth Craig

My 2 cents for what it's worth Craig I agree with 99% of the above. In all those releases quoted above though, the after sales support ranged from excellent to outstanding. They tried their damnedest to get folk going. Personally, my experience thus far of the support on the AS forum is pretty poor. They've all gone home to bed it seems:-( Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
December 19, 201213 yr My guess would be that some of the missing features (VOR autotune anyone?) or remaining flaws can well be related to the drive to keep a pre-christmas releases date. As far as the VC goes, I only saw screenshots so far. They all came in pretty good. Best Airbus screens I saw. So my expectation would be that it's a very decent model and texture work. Are the framerates equally good or does it come with a huge impact when combined with nice scenery? Regardless of the above, I'm happy about reading your reports. The positive and negative ones.
December 19, 201213 yr I am thinking about getting this one but I have a question about how smooth the autopilot operates. Even though I rarely use autoland now does the aircraft have a reasonable smooth autoland? I don't care very much about the looks though. Regards Sagga Toure
December 19, 201213 yr Even though I rarely use autoland now does the aircraft have a reasonable smooth autoland? According to others, the autopilot lands at a firm, 400+ ft/min descent rate. However, the smoothness of autolands should not be used to judge the smoothness of the autopilot in general.

I'm underwhelmed by it to be honest. There are all sorts of things which don't seem to be quite right. Some may be bugs, others may be user error on my part. But it's academic now as I've just thrown my pc out of the window in a fit of rage as I couldn't work out how to shut the bloody robotic flight attendant up... "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?"

On another note, I noticed that the rating of this topic has gone from 5/5 to 3/5 does this means people have changed opinions about the aircraft after just few hours? Hopefully no bugs were found. December 19, 201213 yr Author Its T.O Config. I am supposed to press TO Config button.. But I don't know where it is. Center Pedestal, just aft of the SD display, it's small and black and surrounded by other buttons that'll change the page on the SD. Regards, Ró. Rónán O Cadhain.
December 19, 201213 yr "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" "Tea oh Coffee?" ^_^ She's waiting for an answer I guess. More seriously, if Manny is right. I am supposed to press TO Config button.. But I don't know where it is. It should be on the front end of the pedestal. That button arrangement for all the system synoptic. Edited. Rónán was faster.
