... still waiting for SLI support. They first said it would be in the 2.1, now i don`t see they mentioned it in 2.2. A little disappointed since my gtx580`s on triple monitors is kneeling at this point.

If it ain't broke, i fix it until it is...

Thanks, Dillon

We already know this.

Some of us didn't, while yes it was already posted, it doesn't mean that the discussion will follow the same lines which creates the purpose for two different threads.

I am a little disappointing as well with no SLI, but I'd rather have them work on SLI and release other improvements as they are either fixed or implemented.

Appreciate the heads-up! Dillion!

Yeah thanks Dillon. BTW have you joined us on the "dark side" yet?

Thanks for the info.

It is very good news, even though there will always be complaints about the things that haven't been fixed yet.

I performed a Naples circuit around Mt. Etna tonight as a test flight that someone had requested on P3D forums (Bob I think?) ... VAS improvement is impressive ... started at 2.1GB and flew for about 2 hours and returned to Naples for landing at 2.5GB VAS.   The building and vegetation density was mind boggling ... promise to make a video as soon as I get the next build.

My Settings:

http://www.robainscough.com/Prepar3D_Settings_2.html

Adjusted with these:

Autogen Vegetation density: Extreme
Autogen Building density: Extreme
Texture Resolution: 4096x4096
Cloud Shadow Reflections: Checked (Beta only)

Maintained 30 fps min, averaged about 36 fps, hitting 60 fps peaks.

The cloud shadows are more than just shadows on the ground ... how the aircraft navigates in and out of the shadows has brought about a sense of realism that I never really thought possible with today's hardware.

I couldn't run those settings above in 2.1 + hotfix without getting an OOM within 10-15 minutes, now I can fly for hours and still have 1.5GB VAS free.  I think you ladies/gents are really going to enjoy V2.2.

As far as SLI, it will come, but my hunch is LM are working with nVidia/AMD and external party communications is never "speedy".

But keep in mind LM will have delivered 2 major updates (and a hotfix) within about a 4 month period ... that's pretty darn good ... compare that to how long it took to get SP1 for FSX and then SP2.  Lots more good to come ...

Cheers, Rob.

Now I REALLY can't wait for my Oculus DK2 to arrive! So happy I pre-ordered during the 30 min it was available:-D
