April 20, 201412 yr Looking to expand my payware airports. Currently only have Orbx England so all the airports here are covered nicely. I want to start doing some longer haul flights out of the UK to somewhere about 7-8 hours out in the 777. Not bothered about real world routes, I just want your opinions on some good payware airports. I'm not interested in Dubai or JFK! James Bennett

April 21, 201412 yr I cannot speak for any of FlightBeam's stuff but it looks really good and when I get back from my training in a few months I plan on purchasing them. I do, however, own FlyTampa KTPA, TNCM package, and Grenadines package and they are excellent quality. I also own FSDT PHNL, Hawaiian Airports Vol 1 and 2, KLAX, KDFW, and KFLL which are all very nice. Taxi2Gate KMCO is also an excellent choice. I also have LatinVFR KEYW, KMIA, and KSAN which I recommend as well. If you are looking for scenery outside of the US then UK2000 has great scenery for UK, Aerosoft has good scenery for various places in Europe and the US as well. I know you said you don't care about real world routes but BAW does a flight from EGKK to KTPA in a 777 that I see everytime I drive by the airport so I would strongly recommend FlyTampa KTPA, but I might be a little biased since it is my home airport . http://flightaware.com/live/flight/BAW2167/history/20140420/1035Z/EGKK/KTPA Samuel Scully
April 21, 201412 yr Anything by FSDT is high quality and you cannot go wrong. Tom "I just wanna tell you both: good luck. We're all counting on you."
April 21, 201412 yr I have only bought a few myself. FlyTampa's KTPA is my favorite followed by FlightBeam's KIAD. I don't have any by FSDT but I hear that they're great. April 21, 201412 yr To me, must have airports are the ones that modify the whole flying in/out of them because of non-normal procedures. Or airports that given their location have a special configuration... - Hong Kong Kai Tak - Innsbruck - Madeira - Lukla - Sint Marteen Those would be "must-haves" for me. JFK, O'Hare, Charles de Gaulle or Heathrow are not must-have since the default airport is good enough. April 21, 201412 yr Why not Dubai? It's a perfect 7 hours out from the UK and is as wonderful a scenery as you will see inside FSX. It really is absolutely stunning, especially at night. | Ben Weston www.airline2sim.com
April 21, 201412 yr LatinVFR KSAN. Personally, I love approach into the airport and BAW flies the 777 there too. I completely agree!!!! Is there a better airport/area out there??? It has incredible detail for not only the airport but the city too and the frame rates are excellent!!! I really can't think go any scenery that performs better than this and looks as great as this!! Best there is!?!? Regards, Kevin LaMal "Facts Don't Care About Your Feelings" - Shapiro2024

April 21, 201412 yr I love the ORBX AU stuff, mostly the airports around Brisbane. I'm really used to the surroundings, so I'm always flying around there. Although I don't have it, I say FlyTampa's Dubai is the best. Not a single angry customer. Thanks, Kevin L
