Good to hear.

When you say it's the best yet and clearly optimized for 10.3 -- what are you noticing that makes you say that?

The only thing I can say is that everything just works.  I have had no "what was that?" experiences.  It is smooth (could that be beta 4?) the controls work without moving all around trying to figure which way to slide the -( )+, the torque effect is there, but negligible, the sound is great.

The new GPS is integrated into one device (when you apply the instructions in the "readme") and looks great in the panel.  I have not used the gps function other than an autopilot ILS approach, but the screen displays the approach perfectly.

I just think they have done a great job with this one and (although I have always been a Carenado fan - with XPX) I hope they will be updating all the others with the features they have built into this one.

Awesome!!

I love love love flying the T210.

I hope that gets the GPS update at some point.

If you go to the Carenado site and look at the images of the CT206H, you will see several with the two screen (older version) of the GPS.  Keep scrolling and you will see the panel with the GNS530.  I think you will be pleased with what you see!

Can you link me to the picture that shows the new CT206H with the default X-Plane 10.30 GPS panels in the cockpit? Would love to see how it looks.

Thx for the info Georges!

Looks very good!  How does it feel?

Flightsimming since 1992

Wow that GNS 530 looks amazingly good with this Carenado! I hope we will be able to use and incorporate this into all the virtual cockpits from Carenado! Amazing!!!

How does this compare to RealityXP's GNS for FSX? Does the new GPS in X-Plane work better? If so, I'm really interested in buying this plane since you can incorporate X-Plane's GPS into the virtual cockpit. Does any other Carenado plane have the ability to do this as well?

According to Da Klaue this won't happen since it would mean severe redesigns of most cockpits. You can currently modify all Carenado planes with a GPS to use the new popup but for most planes this is it. ( http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?showtopic=76715&page=8#entry825071 )

@Longranger:

Really?

What a huge bummer.

I can't believe they aren't at least going to offer patches for more money.

Once the new GPS's are used, the old ones will be unbearable to go back to.

The new GNS is pretty good though not as realistic as the RXP series....

There's some data issues apparently with Navigraph - I guess Aerosoft and Navigraph code their IAF's differently and this affects which fixes you can select when it comes to RNAV (GPS) approaches.

You can't select STAR/SIDS either kinda a bummer - of course you could manually enter them.

There's no display of rivers lakes roads at least that I can see yet.

I have intermittent issues with button operation not sure why though

Overall it's a welcomed addition and I hope they can sort out the navigraph issue. I'd recommend you use Aerosoft for data at the moment.

I wonder if it has the "Windshield ice and rain effects" like the last 3 Carenados released (Kingair C90, PA46 Malibu, King Air B200)?

Was interested in the CT210M Centurion as a fast GA cruiser but I don't think it has these.

Tempting (as always) but I think I'll just stick with my trusty C90 for now.

Bump - can anyone who has bought the CT206H please confirm whether the rain effects are present or not?

As there aren't any reviews or vids on YT yet it would be nice to know.

Cheers.

No rain effects. Shame, after they came with the King Air I thought they'd work their way into every Carenado offering.
