December 11, 201411 yr Commercial Member I'm having a blast with A2A 377 in the past few weeks. Never thought that I will fly a very old airliner instead of 737, 747, etc. A2A 377 is so immersive, the whole engine management stuff is so sexy, even when you let flight engineer to manage it. And landings are incredibly immersive and very challenging with completely manual ILS approach. Captain Of The Ship expansion is an icing on the already brilliant cake. Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.

December 11, 201411 yr Well I've been absent from the hobby for 8 years, so have missed the entire period featured in this thread! But from what I've been looking at while catching up, the A2A stuff looks amazing. (I'm a GA only guy).So I'll put my vote there, even though I don't (yet) have any of the addons mentioned in this thread, David Bourne

December 11, 201411 yr Like having to set your mixture control to only about 45% at 6,000 feet! What should it be in order to be realistic ?
December 12, 201411 yr I'll throw in my two cents now that I've got a new rig built and can truly experience FSX the way it was meant to be experienced. Most impressive overall: PMDG 777 - Completely impressive in every way. A total beast. Not much else to say. Am so excited to be able to run it at 30 FPS solid with heavy clouds, traffic, and big airports. Sets the bar for what a Virtual Cockpit can and should be. Favorite overall: PMDG 737 - I've probably put more than a thousand hours on this plane by now. Even though the 777 is a technically superior addon in every way, I keep coming back to this one. So much character, so easy to fly. Aged most gracefully: VRS F-18 Superbug - Just the other night I was zipping around the sky with this one. I couldn't believe how gracefully it has aged. It is still the best military jet available, IMHO. It feels leaps and bounds ahead of the F-14 that was just released, which is pretty darn good in it's own right. This thing was years ahead of its time. In some ways it still feels like it is. Honorable mention: A2A P-51D (Civilian model especially) - An iconic aircraft done right. With Accusim and the RXP GNS430W installed, it is a total blast- capable of aerobatics, dogfighting, and IFR flight. She will always have a place in my hangar. Tired of Streetlights everywhere? December 12, 201411 yr What should it be in order to be realistic ? depending on the engine and it's particulars... 45% reduction would be something in the flight levels.. 20k and up
January 2, 201511 yr Best aircraft addon that should be upgraded for use in P3D......... <_< Flight 1 super king air
January 2, 201511 yr I like short, fast sectors on a modern aircraft where you still need to fly it and prepare for the things to come. Supported by an amazing level of detail in flight management computer that looks horrid at first but is so easy when you understand it's logic. So here is another Q400 on the number 1 position. Did a flight from Rotterdam to Copenhagen with a friend (he in his 738NGX) and I arrived only 7 minutes behind him (after he took off 2 minutes before me) That is what the Q400 does. Second place is for the Twin Otter which I love to fly in Scotland and I'm going to try some challenges in the himalaya's. Maarten Otto
