FSX Steam Released! (80% off sale?)

Featured Replies

That is a pretty decent number of fixes. Combined with the $5 price tag, it looks like a good deal.

Bought it through Steam on my phone. Should be downloaded on my PC and ready to go when I get home tonight.

I bought it for $4.99 and my girlfriend bought it too (she's never tried Flight Sim before). She says for that price she bought it so we can have some multiplayer time together.

So yes Steam does bring in new Flight Simmers

Indeed, I am going to pick this up tonight as well but only download if it actuallly gets positive reviews. It seems a small amount of money to risk in the event that it doesn't live up to my expectations.

That terrain LOD cache flush fix might mean fewer scenery related OOMs...

At £3.99 however it's probably worth buying just to have the licence in your pocket until the unknowns are known. Here in the UK you couldn't buy a gallon of gas for that price.

No they didn't. We've been able to do 99% of that stuff for years. The other 1% has to do with the multiplayer system.

Bought it as it's so cheap, though won't install it on this system until I need to reinstall the next time.

I think this is definitely great news, I'm certain FSX being available on Steam will make a lot more people buy it, thus attracting more FSX users.

Store is down lol... I guess it's popular

Guess there were actually some bugs with FSX on Windows 8.1 after all. Not surprised about the UIautomationcore fix, for example.

It's because the Steam Holiday Sale just began as well.

EDIT: Ninja'd.

Yeah, FSX isn't quite that popular. It's basically that time of the year for Steam users to hand over their wallets to The Gabe.

I bought it... heck ya for 5 bucks?  I have an ISO of FSX deluxe plus Accel anyway but 5 bucks to get it off the cloud?!?  easy

Will FSX finally utilize all 4 cores thats the only thing holding me back with this game.
