I think they want a stable platform. Nothing could be more code stable than FSX Acceleration ( boxed ) , or at most FSX:SE...

or simply because the product has more users.

P3D is, in its current form. FSX still has a lot of bugs left behind, now fixed in SE and P3D.

PMDG is doing the same, FSX is seen as the main release platform.

When it is running, yes. But not when you are developing for it. You never know if or when the next P3D update will appear and maybe break what you are currently working on. It is safer to develop for the unmoving platform first (which also has a huge user base as potential customers).

Pretty cool post by Lefteris.

The end of the road (for release) is a lot closer than I would have thought.

Also; interesting price point.

I hope it has been worth the wait! Good luck to them!

Is Digital Aviation even still around?  I absolutely loved their Piper Cheyenne and Do-27.  Never bought the Fokker for some reason.  I actually liked the Trimble in the Cheyenne and everyone hated it.  That aircraft was so nice.  Shame it won't work in FSX:SE :-(

DA stung a lot of customers last time with the Fokker. They never finished it!

I've owned every version of flight simulator since Flight Simulator 3.0 in 1988.

Windows 11 Pro loaded on a 4TB Gen5 Crucial T700 SSD, 4TB Samsung 990 Pro SSD, Ryzen 9 7950x3d, AS Rock X670e Taichi Motherboard, Gigabyte Gaming RTX 4090 OC 24GB, 64GB (2x32GB) Viper Venom  DDR5-6000MT/s, MSI 32" MAG 321UPX QD-OLED 260hz 4K Gaming Monitor.

I told you guys... it'll be in August, August 31...

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

DA stung a lot of customers last time with the Fokker. They never finished it!

I kinda remember that now that you mention it.  I didn't buy it for that reason then had to give it up for a busy school schedule and hardware failure.  Shame, their other products were amazing.

Will this be user friendly for us yoke & throttle users - if anyone knows that would be great as I dislike the aerosoft version - always a pia to setup the throttles on it

Asking price for this bird is very fair if its like a PMDG - hope it looks as good as the Aerosoft on the outside - presently from what I have seen it doesnt

Also is there a  good Paint kit  ? anyone please - throw me a bone here lol
