Uhhhhh, does v4 have Meteors or Comets in it?

Featured Replies

Dont have anything to prove this, but I was just flying along in the PMDG 747 at night (SLC - PDX), and all of a sudden, 3 tear drop shaped objects moved horizontally from right to left outside. It was like this blue glow, kinda like a lightsaber glow and as soon as one disappeared, another one would appear. They were only on screen for about a second so couldnt capture it. Anyone know if this is some P3D affect or am I going crazy? Lol

The Aurora and shooting stars have been in the engine since at least fs9.

Really? Never noticed that... but then again, I don't fly that much at night...
Interesting

I remember there was a UFO that appeared in the Area 51 mission in FSX. Would be awesome if they still randomly appeared.. Next time grab a screenshot!! :)

Yh, what the hell is all that about.

I have seen meteors every now and again. Always a nice surpirse. Comets would be pointless though, as no movement would be detectable.

There was a stream that Matt Davies did where this happened once. Was pretty neat.

ShadowPlay has a feature whereby it records the last five mins of whats going on on your screen. Once you press the hot key it saves the last five mins as an MP4. I think the hot key is f11 by default but I am not sure. Certainly worth remembering for weird and unusual events like near misses with other traffic for example. And ShadowPlay seem to have no impact on performance at all!

Do the stars still appear in v4 before the sun drops below the horizon? Hopefully not.
