November 24, 20178 yr Hello All Most of you are probably aware of the Orbx 45% discount sale, so I'm thinking this could be a good time to purchase openLC Europe. I'm currently running FTX Global and Vector and was wondering if, even with a hefty discount, I would get much out of buying openLC Europe for P3DV4.1? I mostly fly the NGX, but have recently purchased Majestic's Q400 for some short legs around the UK and the Med. Any opinions most welcome. Regards Gary
November 24, 20178 yr Absolutely YES.....! Don't think twice...! The combination Vector+Global+OpenLC is great... Cheers Ezio AMD Ryzen 7800x3d, Asus ROG Strix RTX4090, Asus x670e-e, G-Skill F5-6000J3038F16GX2-TZ5NR

November 24, 20178 yr Yep I love it. I never flew in Europe until I got OpenLC so I'm not sure what it looked like before. I'm thinking of getting South America since it's on sale but I don't fly much there since there are few V4 compatible airports so I may wait. 5800x3d Asus 4090 ROG Strix OC 2TB SSD 32GB Ram
November 24, 20178 yr Author Definitely sounds like a go-er - many thanks to everyone for their positive responses ! Regards Gary
November 24, 20178 yr For those who already have the full OrbX European regions such as Germany North, South, UK, Scotland, Northern/Southern Ireland, Norway, etc... that already covers a large portion of Europe already. For full regions they include their own custom LC, so for those who own OrbX OpenLC Europe, you wouldn't even see it at all, since the full regions includes it already. Somebody correct me if I'm wrong? There may be conflicts between the 2 landclass data. I think if you own both, the full regions will take priority over openLC. November 24, 20178 yr Europe LC is definitely worth getting. I used to find that with only Global some of the areas the textures were very noticeably repetitive. P3D & X-Plane 11 - Videos and streaming @ V Special 1
November 24, 20178 yr I understand it the same way captain420 does. I noticed in one update for NA region that it had new street lighting and update included an option to turn of NA landclass so the new lighting system would show (if the landclass was installed) So there must be a competition there. I'm thinking you can have Global and Vector plus orbx landclass or you can have Global, Vector and regions. What about those who has the UTX Europe product? or Had them. is OpenLC Europe simply different or better? I am looking at the sale and ask the same question as the OP. Thoughts?
