Smile guys - Life is too short... Right?! I guess sometimes it's hard to put prejudice aside when you wear another teams jersey for a while. I mean, I know the selected media puts the sim in the best light possible...but dang! What they've show is way beyond what I expected. Chris
September 19, 20196 yr I’m a bit confused about when the alpha/ beta/ whatever test is. I thought it would have to be soon because the second tech alpha was starting on 10th October, but this looks like the first one will start at the end of October? procedural generation techniques are pretty amazing these days so great to see that being used (I’m playing a lot of no mans sky at the moment!)

Since it's a flightsim they probably assumed a roof would be seen from the top most of the time... they clearly forgot about the picture detectives among us 😀 Can you explain this a little more please? Wouldn't it be more efficient to have the underside be gray than water?

They said the timeline for the second alpha is coming on the 10th. We now know that the first public alpha will happen no earlier than October 24. Looks like they're planning ahead and will have more than one round of testing. 13 minutes ago, carbonbasedlifeform said: Can you explain this a little more please? This simulator is obviously going to be a disaster! 😅 Microsoft Redmond offices: "Connor, I'm going to need you to stay late to choose a beautiful screen capture for tomorrow's update. Pretty easy in this sim to find those." Connor's heart stops for a second when he hears what his boss is tasking him with. It's 4:00 am the next morning, release day. Connor is looking at the image in 4k pixel by pixel. He thinks he's covered them all, but he isn't sure anymore because his eyes keep closing. When he wakes up at his desk, he checks the image one more time and posts it. The next day after lunch, Connor finds his boss waiting for him. "I was reading AVSIM. You have to understand some of these guys are saying we have poor quality control and for fans not to their hopes up. Let's talk about this "clipping" error you let through and your future at the company..." Edited September 19, 20196 yr by carbonbasedlifeform typo

September 19, 20196 yr Maybe this has been brought up before, but, are the photogrammetry trees being rendered as autogen-style trees close-up? Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB

September 19, 20196 yr The scenery improvements are certainly impressive, but I sure hope we see similar improvements in aircraft and flight dynamics. It is, after all, a FLIGHT simulator. Al Edited September 19, 20196 yr by ark
September 19, 20196 yr If the scenery looks this good, then maybe we can also have "plug-in" physics for boats and cars? Imagine flying into Athens, driving to a marina, getting in a yacht and doing a bit of sailing around the Greek Isles? Matthew S

September 20, 20196 yr The screenshots and videos coming out from this sim are just mind boggling. I can't wait for this release. This is truly the next generation of flight sims and what a great surprise for it to come like it has out of nowhere. Just incredible...
September 20, 20196 yr This sim will be a total disaster...to the other sims. Edited September 20, 20196 yr by dongdongliushui
