Well that's why there was an NDA in place for those who were asking. Now some crappy, 720p and heavily compressed videos with lazy/poor flying of an alpha build are being reported everywhere. There is lots of general interest in this title, and the amount of comments in those news articles further confirm this. I hope Microsoft are planning to take proper action now.

EDIT: It appears the videos just got taken down by Microsoft.

Well at least in this case the mainstream media is reporting that it looks incredible and the comment sections are also reflecting that so MSobo can look to that silver lining at least.

I don't think people outside of the US understand how other countries deal with copyright issues. Most countries don't care and don't have laws to combat copyright infringements. No question MS has the ability to sue if the leaker is in the US but say the leaker is from a country like Lebanon (supposedly the location of the leaker) you honestly think MS has any clout? I can just imagine their legal team calling Lebaneses authorities and trying to pursue legal action on some guy who posted a video of a game online. They'll be laughed at and told to get lost.

The NDA isn't going to deter future leakers. If they had kept the beta within the US it would have been a different story. It's going to be a cat and mouse game for MS, they'll need to surf reddit and YT for any further leaks.

If they had kept the beta inside the US they would still have testers from all around the world anyway. Testers can pretend they are from any country and have VPN to "prove" it.

No more worries, the offending video of the MS2020 Alpha has been removed by Youtube.

These awful leaked videos might be less debated if MS would release a 15 minutes video of a flight by a good simmer/pilot between two completed airports over a nice country side. A suggestion...

100% agree.

It's about time for an uncut complete flight from engine start to shutdown plausibly done by a serious pilot/simmer. For starters I would even be fine with a simple VFR circuit without any flightplanning or ATC.

Very True !!!!! Fully Agree !!!

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

High-end average then (GTX 1080, 16GB RAM) I don't want to see anything but the max rendering capabilities.

Would love to know how this is going to run on an Xbox One X or whether its it's sensible to upgrade to the Series X when it comes out.

There is already ~ 50 minutes worth of b-roll footage which ironically looks better than what was leaked from the Alpha:

It is amazing what you can do on next gen hardware with very little effort.

But dont expect these graphics on anything less than an xbox2020 or a brand new $6000 PC plus a subscription to gamepass.

What we saw in the leak is likely going to be fairly close to what you get offline on current gen hardware. In fact probably turned down a bit more, given that was a 1080 and it still stuttered.
