March 27, 20206 yr I wonder if other players can see me live with my unique custom aircraft or if they will see me with a default aircraft instead.

March 27, 20206 yr They only have servers in West US and West EU around 30 ms ping, I wonder how things will work for me in South America probably getting 250 ms ping.
March 27, 20206 yr I'm sitting in my car waiting to go into work at Rolls Royce (for social distancing reasons) the seven and so minutes went over in a flash ,while watching the video, I don't think I've ever been so captivated. March 27, 20206 yr It's still "alpha" - I imagine MS can lay their hands on a few more servers if required 🙂 9800X3D + RTX 4080 + 64GB DDR5
March 27, 20206 yr I’ve to look into all that but my first feelings after watching Sebastian’s vid. We have never seen before such astounding landscapes in a sim, even in the previous EP trailers ! This is jaw dropping. There is no comparison with what is available now, including Orbx TE. Also Sebastian had a knack to select what should be shown to a bush simmer like me. It is like being there. No cutie stuff, the real thing. MP : never been a big fan of MP, too many unattractive people around but that may change ! The video reminds me of Trent Palmer‘s YT where some buddies fly their Cubs and land onto a hill in the California backcountry. The duck shot (why a duck ? Why a no chicken ? 😁) Anybody remembers when Sebastian said, some months ago, that seasons were not only changing the ground but there were many other things to add like migrating ducks. Just sayin’. A great update all together and it will be something if they deliver. I didn't get the impression that lack of servers was the issue but that lack of bandwidth, or perhaps more accurately conserving bandwidth, was the focus. Give people power to really test their personality.
March 27, 20206 yr The video didn't mention anti griefing features. I hope they don't forget that some people are malicious, or just maybe play in a way that bothers other people. The screenshots still show rounded off mountains. I hope a future build fixes the look of mountains. 5 hours ago, EBanalian said: Amazing video. Can we please have the option to turn off some of those annoying distracting dirt spots from the windshield ? I think I recall in an audio interview they said there were different levels of dirt, and wear and tear visualizations. I hope I can set the windshield, and gauges differently than the rest of the plane. Sometimes I might like a slightly dirty windshield, but often I think I will want a clear view to... enjoy the view. And for realism, none of the planes I have ever flown have been close to new since they were rentals. 2 hours ago, mp15 said: I wonder if other players can see me live with my unique custom aircraft or if they will see me with a default aircraft instead. Normally, if you have a mod installed locally, only you see it. If they had everyone see it, then that means every time a plane is added to the 3rd party store, everyone would have to download the external model. And not sure how it would handle freeware models, i.e. do they go through the store as well. 1 hour ago, mp15 said: They only have servers in West US and West EU around 30 ms ping, I wonder how things will work for me in South America probably getting 250 ms ping. This is only during the Alpha right now. This may also be why they are limited on the number of Alpha testers. So by launch, and probably sometime in beta, they should have more servers. They may even add more for the Alpha test when they add more people. Edited March 27, 20206 yr by GlideBy typo My brother has Coronavirus, confirmed by testing. On 3/26 he almost didn't survive the night. He had extreme trouble breathing and was given a steroid inhaler. He was very weak, had nausea, and other issues that aren't pleasant. As of this update he is feeling much better, and seems he will be fine. Stay safe out there. (Updated 4/6)

Idiots who are only there to crash into others, and spoil the fun for the guys who want to race properly. Assetto Corsa had a voting feature to kick people like this, but unfortunately it was next to useless. Moderators with the ability to boot players was the only viable solution, but even that was sometimes not enough. March 27, 20206 yr Nearly mind boggling the visuals of the environment, lighting, other aircraft, and the varying landscapes that are so much more plausible than today. Really a great leap forward. Also seems to be very smooth but hard to tell on a video. Multiplayer looks very interesting indeed, but as others mentioned, it brings alot of questions of properly flying in airspace or will it be a free for all. Perhaps joining certain gameplay sessions would control that, but the open world where everyone can join with all the AI I can see a big invitation for alot of malicious flying if there is no proper controlled airspace. I am sure this must be in discussions with Vatsim/IVAO and PilotEdge. As a side note, MS/Asobo and AIG need to get together and discuss getting rid of those default liveries for real ones, but the real time traffic is certainly cool. 2nd point in the Alpha Invitations goals to invite those that pre registered a long time ago to be invited to the Alpha.... I hold you to it now! Looking for that email. Especially when things are rather highly restricted in life outside the home right now.
