Sad news. Running a house like Avsim and its forums is certainly not easy and he did a great job. RIP Jim.

I obviously didn't know Jim personally, but from reading his many contributions to the Flight Sim Community I considered him a friend, guide and mentor during my Flight Sim learning curve.

Yet another life sadly lost to the world.

Rest in Peace

Although I knew that he was seriously ill, I certainly didn't expect this tragedy to happen in the foreseeable future. 😔

It was just a few weeks ago that I've exchanged e-mails with him.

His calm, carefully considered, always polite and friendly way of communication was one of the main reasons why I'm enjoying Avsim.

He's definitely leaving a very big gap, not only at Avsim. I can't imagine how devastating this must be for people how have known him much better than I have, let alone his relatives and family.

I do hope that he will still visit Avsim from time to time to see what's going on here. 😉

rest in peace

Jim was a one of kind - especially when it came to helping those of us in need with CTD's and figuring out their causes. Jim, you are sorely missed already!

Sincerest condolences to his family.

Kind regards,

This is really sad, and for me unexpected, news.

I give my condolences to his loved ones, and to his friends here on Avsim.
