Anyone Else Loving the TBM?

Ahhh, didn't know that! I will have to play with it some more then! 🙂 So the only planes with the Garmin 3000's are the TBM and Citation Longitude?

Wrong.  The Longitude has the G-5000 with the four touchpads.  More advanced than the G-3000 in the TBM.  The KingAir has the G-3000 Fusion (of sorts),

Y'all are killing me.  I'm on Day 4 of working my way up one aeroplane at a time from simplest/slowest to fastest/most complex , for all the planes in the Super-Deluxe-With-CheeseFries package.  It'll be a month before I get to that fine lookin' TBM.  But I know I will certainly appreciate to by then.

The right ALT key (on a German keyboard it is called ALT GR, sorry).

Thanks!  That works too!  🙂

You can open all digital displays as pop up windows by holding ALT GR which changes your mouse to a magnifier, then left click on the display. In the pop up, everything is scrollable with the mouse wheel without zooming or the need to drag the thin scrollbar.

I did not know that!

BTW, are you developing anything for MSFS Mario?

Yes loving the TBM bigtime!! If flew the 900 from x-aviation in XP11 all the time, I flew nothing else actually and that was absolutley mega, I wish they wud do one for our new sim but like you say guys the G3000 is a doddle to use, I've been flying it all week and for a default plane its bloody magic!! 👍😁

I adore the Tbm930.  Its not upto the level of the Hotstart TBM but its definitely my favourite default aircraft in any sim so far

It is a good one. Had my first flight in it today. I will have to use it more! There are only a couple good ones unfortunately!

Well, Walker and myself like MFS very much, and Igor has some experience with FSX development from many years ago. We are discussing if creating a small plane is doable, for testing the water. But nothing decided yet, and if, it will surely take some time.

How about something really small and really fast.

But I don't know if the icing effects are real or just eye candy.

So I got around to testing and, indeed, as ice accumulated on the TBM at 15,000' I began to lose airspeed. I lost about 40 kts and then turned on the deicing and as soon as the ice came off, the nose came up (because the autopilot had been up-trimming) and airspeed climbed back up to where it was before. Pretty cool stuff!

My favorite of the props with a lot of kick.I flew it from LaGuardia to Nantucket airport

Whats crazy about this sim is ,it keeps bringing me back even in the condition its in.

After reading the positive comments about the TBM I decided to give it a try. Currently between EGPH and LFML.

I am struggling with the G3000. On the G1000 MFD the ETA shows this time as a reference to arrival. On the G3000 the ETA on the MFD references the next waypoint.

Is there any way to see the ETA to destination? I haven't been able to find out how.

To answer the original question - I may be in the minority, but no I don’t really like the TBM. I don’t think MSFS currently models turboprops very well.

So i only fly it when required for landing challenges, or special situations (such as flying in to Lukla).

i’d say that MSFS is at its most convincing when modelling the more basic GA aircraft (C152, C172, Cub Crafter X Cub).
