I'm enjoying both simulators right now. I wouldn't dare attempt to simulate airline flying right now in MSFS. Maybe one day. Each sim has pro's and cons right now Exactly never understood why there isn't room for more then one sim 😉 André

Had some great flights in the new sim, but it's sure great to be able to go back into quality payware equipped with fully functioning GTN for a while...... Now if somehow MS/Asobo could convince Garmin to let them use their actual software in Sim..... ?! Or LM for that matter!... G Gary Davies aka "Gazzareth" Simming since 747 on the Acorn Electron
August 29, 20205 yr I am installing P3D v4.5 on my new PC that I built for MSFS2020. I have a Q. I never bought P3D v5.0 Do I have to buy all my PMDG aircrafts for v5? Anyone? Manny Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
August 29, 20205 yr I would have to look at my records but I'm pretty sure it was just a redownload of your installer. The installer is a combined v4/5 installer. David Porrett

August 29, 20205 yr Author Really strange how guys react to this video. You already new the winner. MSFS is great and I fly everyday on MSFS. But P3D is not dead, I fly with my add ons and its another sensation. That's all, no red against blue or other bs. Fly as you like !

They are starting afresh and don't have (as yet) access to goodies like Garmin from F1, or add on traffic. But there again, I wonder, with trepidation, what these add ons would do to the framrate. MSFS has frame rates based on its release state, ie vanilla. Start adding complex routines like Garmin, AI Traffic, ATC, complex airports and the big one, complex aircraft and I doubt the frame rates will stay up without further optimisation. Take a look at how many switches are missing from the Neo, 747 and Dreamliner? Could it be that to have fully functional flight decks would place an extra load on the CPU and threaten the frame rate. Remember each flight deck switch uses a CPU thread. Anyway early days yet. Lets hope for further development and detailed big Jets!
